I made this paper mache heart for Annchen in the mixed media heart swap. I have been itching to play with some paper mache lately, so this was extra fun to put together!

I used a piece of cardboard as the base, then layered the paper mache on over that. I poked holes for the hanger, and let it dry overnight. The heart is painted with Golden liquid acrylics, which are my new favorite paints ever.

The poem is one of my favs by Elizabeth Barrett Browning it was in an old book in my stash that is now used for craft projects.

I left the back plain but colorful so it can be reversible.

Thanks for checking it out!

Paper mache!! I haven't seen or done this technique for a long time but I LOVE it! Your heart turned out great. The texture is cool and I like the metallic coloring.
