I haven't created much in the last year and a half (changing that in 2018!!) but I did sneak in a couple of little projects on my unplanned hiatus. This was one of them.

Our sweet neighbor aspires to be a mail carrier when he grows up. He likes to practice his future job by leaving little scraps of torn paper in all the mailboxes on our street. The scraps are fun to receive but I thought he (and the neighbors) would enjoy playing make-believe with happy mail!

So I made him a bunch of mini greetings that he could deliver to everyone on the block.

I used paper scraps, brush pens, watercolors, washi tape, glitter, stamps...whatever I had handy to whip up a big pile of mini-mail.

I also used my envelope making board thingy to create a bunch of small envelopes for him to put the scraps into.

I think he had fun with it and I enjoyed making a bunch of quick and easy doo-dads for him. I'd make him more but I think he's now planning to be a police office/garbage collector Smiley Smiley.

Each one is a little work of art! Just beautiful in every way Smiley. I wish we lived in your neighbourhood, my kids would love to receive a wee note like one of those.

Thank you! He's a good kid and we have great neighbors all along the block so this was a no brainier.

As I head into this year determined to be more crafty, this project is also a good reminder to myself that even tiny little scrap art counts can count as creativity Smiley.

I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.
