For some reason, I have been all about saints and religious art lately. I had a great image from an Alpha Stamps collage sheet, and decided it to make a little shrine. The top of a mini Altoids tin was the perfect size for the image, and I had tons of little metal pieces and some rosary chain that went together well. The rays behind the figures are Dresden trim.

It's so tiny!

Lovely and classy design.  The figures of Jesus and Mary look great and I like the use of rosary chain as a border around the tin.  Did you just use the dragonfly charm because you liked the way it looked, or does it have a more special meaning for you here?

Thanks, Patraw. I actually used the dragonfly because it reminded me of a cross, and I thought that was interesting, as opposed to being so literal. I do like me some dragonflies, though.

That never even occurred to me; a dragonfly's shape does indeed resemble a cross--that's some creative thinking!

Lovely! All the gold is wonderful. Though I am not personally very religiousy I do appreciate these little shrines and icons, the symbolism is so powerfully evocative.
Dragonfly has a very powerful meaning in almost every tradition, a symbol of light, tranformative change, a matured understanding of one's place in the cosmic universe, etc etc. My favourite is the First Nations legend of Dragonfly told by Spider Woman.

very tiny shrine!  I no longer practice the Catholic religion, but I still love collecting Madonna and Child art!

Love that your artistic eyes see images in some of the metal pieces you use...the dragonfly is genius!

Nice work and very inspirational!
