Whew-eee! This project took me about 4 months of working on fairly regularly. Let's be honest, I probably never would have finished without a swap due date! The pattern is from LadyBeta on Etsy. After working on it for a while, I realized my math was not ideal and I hadn't cut my Aida big enough. D'oh! I did some surgery on the pattern, making Alice and the hat smaller by cutting out some lines, and I also omitted the row of hearts/diamonds/clubs/spades. An Ikea frame fit perfectly!

Progress Pics!

Love the pixilated feel.  Seems like it could come to life as an old school video game at any moment!

Oh yeah, that looks like dozens of hours of stitching to me. I made a little bookmark once, 13 hours of work. You are a champion to have taken this on and finished it, and so beautifully too. Bravo!

Very nicely done and I agree that it does have an old 8-bit video game sprite feel.  The quartet of keys are my favorite items out of the group, but everything came out great.

I almost bought another copy of Alice in Wonderland earlier today, the 90's Disney "Mouseworks" volume, but I told myself I already have too many versions of that particular children's story and made myself put it back on the shelf.  Tongue

Thanks, guys!

Patraw, I have the copy of Alice in Wonderland/Through the Looking Glass that belonged to my mom and her siblings when they were children.  It's one of my prized possessions!

I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.

That's an incredible amount of stitching. It is wonderful!

wow--this is really fun and detailed!  Love how you were able to adapt the pattern to fit...I tend to make rookie mistakes like cutting my background too small or way too large!  Not sure I would know how to "fix" it so seamlessly like you did!  Beautiful work!
