The one big fabric line I was really excited about last year was the Cotton + Steel/Rifle Paper Co Alice in Wonderland Collaboration! Besides getting a lot of the quilting fabrics, I also got a couple yards of the linen prints for bags!

I made one for myself and one for my swap partner of this particular pouch--I just love it so much! My favorite pouch pattern--Noodlehead Open Wide Pouch. I used Essex Linen for the bottom.

That fabric is so rad - the print and the linen. Does the pouch have a boxy bottom? Did you use a pattern?

I use this pattern, it's my fave! The way the zipper is manipulated makes it easier to see into the bag wuth a wider opening

https://noodle-head.com/2012/06/open-wide-zippered-pouch-tutorial-size.html

 It does have boxed corners!

Well, I attempted it and that counts for something Smiley. The zipper instructions totally flummoxed me!! I probably should have paid more attention to what the final product looked like and maybe that would have clued me in.

I didn't get the 90 degree tuck thing on the one end or the pull away on the other side. I just went with it but ended up having both ends sticking out Undecided. I put tabs on both ends to "fix" it. Still not totally sure I understand how it's supposed to work.

It looks great, I've seen lots of bags with the zip like that. I actually have that pattern pinned already so I'll take some process pics as I muddle along with the zipper.

Duhhhhh!! I just realized I used a 12" zipper instead of a 10" one. So that explains the leftovers but I'm still not totally clear on keeping the zipper out of the seams.

CLM - I'd definitely want to check out your in progress pics if you end up making one!!

Sorry I hijacked your thread, Mare!
