I started with this piece of fabric:

Well, not actually a piece of full fabric. I found the front and back of a cut out but not sewn tanktop in this fabric. I immediately got an idea of a shirt with a glasses print all over it, and that fabric as the sleeve. So I made a glasses "stamp" out of foam paper and spent hours coating the stamp in paint and pressing it down again and again.

When I finally went to sew on the sleeves, they looked too dissimilar from the body (too much pink, I think) so I striped the sleeves with the other colours in the original scrap, then sewed it together.

The upper sleeve fabric has the sponge pattern in periwinkle blue, green, purple, and pink. The glasses I stamped were periwinkle blue, green, purple, but also black, white, and fuschia (you can't print blush pink on baby pink).

Anyway, it's the first thing I've made this year, and I really like it  Cheesy

I'm not attached to your world, nothing heals, nothing grows... we used to love ourselves, we used to love one another.

life is no cabaret- we don't care what you say, we're inviting you anyway, you mf'ers, you'll sing someday!

That is so cool, I can't believe how perfect your stamping is!

I really like how dense your stamping is! Without being repetitive/uniform!

Great job!
