Swap name: Hookers Only Swap - Round 2

Date to send item by: 2/12/18

Limited to a certain number of people? NO

Restricted to people who all live in the same country? NO

Additional Age requirement? NO

Swap Organizer himself/herself meets these conditions:
- Has fully read the Swap Info Guide: YES
- Has successfully completed two swaps as a participant: YES
- Is not organizing more than three swaps right now: YES
- Will recruit a co-organizer or give all details to a Swap Moderator if this swap has more than 25 participants: YES
- Is at least 18 years old: YES

Swap Organizer will check each participant to make sure they meet these conditions:
- Has been a member for at least one month: YES
- Has posted at least 15 times: YES
- Has completed one swap successfully before signing up for multiple swaps at a time: YES
- Is not currently signed up for more than five swaps: YES
- Does not have any negative feedback: YES
- Participant has agreed that he/she is at least 16 years old: YES
- If within the US, understands that Delivery Confirmation number is required for this swap: YES
- If outside the US, understands that a mailing receipt copy is required for this swap: YES

Details of Swap:  We will be swapping 1 Medium crafted item for your partner to use while crocheting (which DOES NOT need to be a crocheted item); 1 Small crocheted item to make your partner smile, and 3 non-crafted crochet extras in the small-medium category.  Details and ideas for these are listed below.  Please note that the 3 non-crafted items must be crochet accessories, and that things like candy or other treats do NOT count towards this.

Swap Requirements:
-1 Medium crafted item for your partner to use while crocheting like:
stitch markers & decorated crochet hook
     hook roll
     Zippered Pouch for hooks
     WIP bag/project tote
     hand dyed yarn
     crochet geek shirt
     survival skill shirt, etc.

-1 Small crocheted item, such as:
     dishcloth
     key chain
     apple cozy
     brooch
     coffee sleeve
     set of facial cleansing pads
     headband, etc.

-3 Non-crafted crochet related items: such new hooks, new yarn, yarn needles, small scissors, stitch markers, a pattern or pattern book, etc.  Things in the $3-8 range, with a suggested value of about $15 total.  (Organizer Note: Places like Tuesday Morning are a great source for fancy yarn or pattern books at discounted prices!)

Optional Trading Supplies:
This is between the individual swappers and is in no way required!  It also does NOT count towards the requirements above.  Let's say your aunt gave you 3 skeins of fantastic hand dyed sock yarn when she learned you had taken up crochet, but you don't make socks so it's just been sitting in your stash, going to waste.  You might check to see if your partner could use it.  Perhaps they have a set of your favorite hooks, that they aren't using, and you decide to swap them.  Happiness all around!  But, just like any other swap extras (treats, tea/coffee, etc), you must discuss this with your partner, and cannot expect the other person to 'spoil' as much as you do for them.  Open communication on this subject is key to a happy swap experience.

If you want to participate, information to send to organizer:

Would you enjoy wearable items to show your hooker pride, like a tee shirt, jewelry, etc.?
If so, what is your tee shirt size:
Any jewelry preferences: (metal allergies, bracelet/necklace lengths, color preferences, etc.)

What are your favorite items to crochet?  (Do you make hats & scarves galore, or nothing but dishcloths?)

What are your favorite type of hooks?

Any type of hooks you avoid for any reason?

Any hook sizes you are in need of, or that you use constantly and could always use a spare of?

What are your favorite yarns or fibers to work with?  (Brands & styles you buy and use often are helpful!)

Hmmm.... I definitely think I can do this in a timely fashion because it's only 1 small crocheted item. And, if I can possibly sew the medium, that makes it totally doable. I'm going to check out the questionnaire now.

I just realized I didn't have a question in there about favorite yarns, so I've gone back and added that in.  For those of you who already sent in your questionnaires, feel free to just tell your future partner that info when you are matched up.  Cheesy

Winding balls of yarn is very satisfying, isn't it?

Oh it really is.  My husband found me in my studio winding away one night lol - he pushed me out of the way to "try it" and finished off a couple of balls for me.  Grin
