I followed along in '17 but didn't stitch anything. I'm going to this year though. The first stitch is simple running stitch and it's been suggested to look up "pattern darning" and "Kogin embroidery" which both have lovely examples of what can be done with this most basic of stitches. I think I'll make a scroll sampler using scrap fabric. Want to join in with me?

I got 99 problems, but a stitch ain't one.

That is neat. I wanted to do something similar to this. Basically a stitch a day and have a big piece at the end of the year. My other thought was a mood a day. Do a stitch or a quick hour pattern that represents the mood I'm in. Kind of like a therapy stitch.

That's a cool idea. Did you see the temperature graph tiamatfire posted here: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=453120.msg5473170#msg5473170 ? Love it!

I have lots of old wooden spools, it would be neat to do little scrolls with them. maybe one a month with a stitch each week. I'm still working on my ideas for this...

It would make a very interesting art piece but I'm trying to do useful crafts so I don't run out of room in my house for all the things I make :/. Form and function...

I can always use more fabric covers for my journals and idea books. I think that's what I'm going to do. I'll mark out the size and divide it into squares, one for each week of the year. It's a plan!
