Thank you to everyone who sent me one of these little beauties in swaps last year. I used all but one.

I think it's about the cutest thing ever. The themes are woodland creatures, nature and weather, the top left square is a delicate and sparkly snowfall.

Sewing this was like making a vest, all inside out and folded over in a way you'd think would not work out in the end. I wish I could explain it to you a bit better but here are the photos of it finished and being turned right side out, perhaps it will make sense to you.

Here you can see the right sides, the black is the wrong side of the pocket (it's a heavy weight fusable interfacing I used for stability).

Sorry this shot's fuzzy but here it is only turned inside out.The pockets will get turned next. All the weird folding was to get the seam allowances between the correct layers.

With the pockets turned right side out. The gray fabric lining goes from edge to edge and will protect the stitches the twinchies are attached with, no friction if I replace the book etc.

And of course the pockets make actual pockets for holding loose papers.

Thank you both, thanks I mean on behalf of the crafters who made those adorable squares Cheesy. I only sewed them to the cover after all.

I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.

Thanks friends Smiley. It's a goal of mine this year to turn my collections of little treasures into larger projects. I finished this one today & have something on the go that should be done tomorrow Wink. I am motivated!
