My hubby recently switched over to stretch denim jeans, too...he calls them the leggings for me...ugh...that fabric wears out and feels yucky to me...it does seem it is getting harder to find just plain old denim...

You need thinner denim for the whales, stretch is good. It's nice too because you can make them any size you want and that means using up even the smallest pieces for fins and tail etc. Even if your pants are trashed there are still corners that would work! I am going to draft some patterns and make more tests.

We are running a Pinterest Challenge on the 50 Projects Board through June...if you make something from your pins, you can be entered for a chance to win the prize!

I have done one off my board but have two that are denim projects in various stages...

Do you know anybody who would like any of these items? I am serious about culling the stash some more. It upset me so much to find that much denim I didn't know I had, I feel like a hoarder right now Tongue.

scouting badges and child-sized sash:

so many photo negatives:

this frankly fantastic book, I only wanted 2 projects from it myself which I photocopied:

paper piecing sewing themed blocks:

another amazing book, such cool projects:

SERIOUSLY! Please somebody want this stuff so I can send it to you. It's too good to just donate, I can't do it!

Do you have a creative resource center?  I am filling up a box or eight to give to them...they let artists and schools come to purchase at ridiculous prices...I know things are too good to donate to places that might not know what to do with some of the items!

I admit to eyeing the badges & sash, but then they'd likely just sit in *my* stash forever.  Rather like my own scout badges from high school.  Undecided

I have teas called "relax" and "detox" but what I really need is ones called "no headache" and "feel less like screaming."

I'm making the kids denim backpacks for school for next year, maybe I'll sew some on there. Sigh. Collecting stuff sure is fun until you have to deal with the pile of hoarded goodies.

I made another Deadpool varsity style doll jacket:

It only used a tiny bit of stash but every little bit counts, right?
