AIMR, the more destashing the better, right? I'm just happy to have the whole list at once, last year the idea person ducked out around June, so there were no more themes for me to play with.

Claiming my spot.  Smiley

1-50 (or even more):  pulled out some of my old jewelry supplies/beads/charms from stash to use them up and made a huge pile of earrings and bracelets with them.

Quoting the famous-and oft spoken words of Sheldon from 'The Big Bang Theory':  "That's (this is) my spot!"   Grin Wink

I'm not going to put pressure on myself by listing a hard and firm list of 50 projects I want to complete.  I know there are some things I would like to have done this year, however, so I will post them here.  Then I'll just wing it!  Cheesy

1.  Super secret gift for person #1 for Xmas 2018
2.  Super secret gift for person #2 for Xmas 2018
3.  Super secret gift for person #3 for Xmas 2018
4.  Super secret gift for person #4 for Xmas 2018
5.  Super secret gift for person #5 for Xmas 2018
(These will basically be the same gifts, just personalized for each person.  I won't be able to post photos of them, but I will check them off as I get them completed.)

6.  Participate in the OWS every month this year in order to create items for people and receive lovely items in return that I can gift to family and friends (for birthdays and holidays) who appreciate hand crafted items.  (Months participated in so far:  January)

7.  Create items for my etsy shop that are inspired by the $4(!) BIG skeins of varigated yarn that I saw at Michael's before the holiday and purchased about a $100(!) of!!!!!!!!!   Shocked  (Couldn't beat that price for that kind/amount of yarn.)

8.  Work on some slow cloth/boro stitching patches.  (Not sure what I'm going to do with them yet, but they are VERY calming to make!)

9.  I'd like to use my gelli plate and new paints and stencils that my BFF very generously gave me.

10.  Finish sewing the pineapple themed pillowcase for my son and give it to him for Xmas 2018.

11.  Complete a pineapple painting using a stencil on a canvas and put the special pineapple themed ribbon I purchased around it for said son.

12.  Possibly participate in the Ongoing ATC swap to stretch my artistic abilities and continue my lovely collection of these small works of art!

13.  Try out kittykill's tutorial for armwarmers.

14.  Try out a way to make a mermaid tail blanket that I saw on a Threadbanger you tube video.

15.  Decide on what charity I would like to support this year and what it requires me to do, and work on that.

16.  Make some more TM patches to add to my collection to make myself a pocketbook.

17.  Make some jewelry with the clamshells I found at the beach in the fall.
preg_replace('/(.{49})/', '$1 ', '____________________________________________________________________')
JANUARY:
-crocheted market bag for BFF's birthday

-rainbow stationery made by me and my DD, using shaving cream and food coloring

-Pastel woodland colors baby blanket for DH's co-worker whose wife just had a baby

FEBRUARY:
-Items for my partner in the 'Keep Me Warm' swap

-Swap item for the 'Positive Affirmations' swap

AIMR, is this thread also for discussion, or is there a separate discussion thread?

Gala-apples, I think you are thinking of the de-stash thread that gaudinight(?) starts, perhaps?

LOL! I like the prompts too. Not that I follow them but they are motivational just to read. AIMR maybe we could help come up with a list like in the destash thread? It's all there at the start of the year, I actually wrote it in my idea journal this year so I can aim for something made using the suggestions. If we do it all at once you wouldn't be stuck with the job every month, I know I'd be happy to think something up to help out Wink.

My goal for the start of the year is to finish up all my obligations straight off. I have a few person swaps on the go and some family projects, those and the few UFO's I feel guilty about are enough to keep me busy for January. Then I have some projects that I half started and am determined to finish. I would honestly have to clean my entire space to find everything to list it all so I will just add it as I go.

We do it all here...discuss, provide our lists, post our finished projects!  Keeping it simple...but it does move fast! lol

CLM...I tried for a few years giving prompts but it seemed everyone was on their own path!  I decided to keep it simple and just do random drawings from posts of all sorts just to keep everyone engaged. It saved me a lot of work, too!  I am using the destash prompts to help me with ideas, but I also list ideas in my list posts!

I am good using the destash prompts for this thread too. It's challenging to stick with an idea, my crafting goes all over the place, ha!

ETA project #2, flower hats.

I always have high hopes to do this but two things always keep me away.

1-In the past, it hasn't felt really welcoming
2-Shiny object...
 Cheesy

I might try it again, who knows. I love the idea and think it would be a great way to stash bust. I also can't keep up with everyone.

You cannot give me too much work; to accumulate work has almost become a passion with me: my study is so full of it now, that there is hardly an inch of room for any more. I shall have to throw out a wing soon. (J.K.Jerome)

One of my goals this year is making space by destashing (through crafting, ideally) now a friend of mine is giving up her studio and getting rid of some stuff. The things she's not trying to sell she is handing over to me so I can pick what I want and give away the rest... Oh well, some things just can't be helped  Wink
