Thanks RedheadwithThread!  T10K is still my favorite movie/miniseries.  I literally wore out the VHS from watching it too much.

I also never realize how much I have mentally planned or in progress until I list it out.  It helps me from feeling like I should have accomplished more than I am.

You cannot give me too much work; to accumulate work has almost become a passion with me: my study is so full of it now, that there is hardly an inch of room for any more. I shall have to throw out a wing soon. (J.K.Jerome)

2018 is the year that I am going to get busy with projects for myself and the people around me (and the home!) So crafting and creative goals it is! Main goals: Clothing for myself, and lots of things around here made by me and making some space in the craft room to be able to make more jewelry.

My very first projects ought to be comfy yoga and lounge pants, to make sure that I'll be comfortable. My old ones are really not wearable anymore, but I keep washing them to use as pattern helpers and then putting them on again... I'm so scared that I'll waste my time and fabric (lots of fabric in my size!) by turning out something completely not wearable or even worse starting and then Not even going to think about that!...

July 2018: Revamping my list according to what I've made, what won't get made, what is more important now...

January 1 2019: Going over the list, trying to remember a few things I've made (including swap items this time to maybe get to 50...), pinching leftover projects for the 2019 list! (Sorry about rotated and warped pics, I have to upload from my phone, and that turns out weird.)

1. black yoga pants

2. jersey skirts purple / teal to wear over pants 3 done, I even made a pattern! More to come I think.
3. notebook/calendar A5 with printed pages to practice keeping a larger size

4. re-do backing of brown/cream/purple quilt done with this! I had originally wanted to change out the backing, but gave up on unpicking the quilting seams at some point. Now I sewed it back together and I'll just accept it as it is.

5. skirts for L&H

6. skirt for L (their friend) (see 5.)

7. Anna Jewelry (Frozen) (made barrette)

8. Queen Tara dress (Epic) done

9. Queen Taras lily bud thingy (Epic) done

10. embroidered button rainbow hoopla for a swap

11. tiny strawberry curtain for the bathroom done

12. under stair storage

13. 14 naptime mats for L's daycare group

14. GIANT PROJECT: Make three rooms from two: Girls' one room into Hanna's room (the half with the windows) and craft room, tiny craft room into Lea's room with a platform bed. We are probably going to let our favourite carpenter do the wall, maybe the bed, too, so it gets done quickly.
Turned out we did this ourselves. The quoted prices were so high we really could not afford it. We are nearly done, too! The drywall between the 5yo's room and the craft room still needs those window panes, but the rooms are functional!

15. Lea's tiny new room with her platform bed/play platform (she decided she didn't want to sleep up there for now, and we just caved in and bought a tiny IKEA bed that fit into the room (70x160cm). I don't want to send an unhappy girl to bed every night. That platform had to go over the door, so it is 2.43m high, about 1.43x1.94. I am a bit afraid of heights, so Uwe tried a couple of chinups on those boards to make sure the construction is solid. It is. The ladder we found at the home improvement store, very happy about that!

16. Hanna's new old room. All of the old furniture moved around (not too much!) and some kind of order found. More space for her to play.

17. Craft room. (Mine!) Still so much to do, but I've made a) progress and b) a few items already. Even enjoyed a few hours (!) sitting at the desk with the girls actually making things. I think I worked on something for a swap very early on after the remodelling, and they joined me and coloured some round plain stickers.

18. Black velour lounge pants (StyleArc Linda again, this time a size 26, with the left leg 2c, shorter than the right). I had bought that fabric quite a while ago for this! Made on Dec 30/31 2018.

19. multistrand necklace for me: teal

20. dolly bed set for an oval basket: a mattress, cushion and duvet

21. green crocodile loop scarf for Hanna (turns out she wants to give this to a friend who loves crocodiles... we'll see, maybe she'll wear it after all)

22. purple unicorn loop with fleece lining for Lea

23. small pillowcase with decorative wide seam with matching pillow for Lea. Will probably have to make another pillow as the first one has turned into a bed for a chameleon stuffie.

The difficult thing about this was to convince my daughter that we were on the right track and I knew what I was doing to get the desired shape...

24. Purple starry nightie for me made from two indigo/navy blue shirts that were bought for this project a fewweeks ago. I died the A-line shirts, cut off the bottom of 2nd shirt directly under the armpits, frogged the bottom seams (to get a little more length yet) then sewed them together. New hem. Now the shirt hangs over my knees and the seam in the middle sits at the widest point of my thighs. But so comfy! Made on December 31!

25. Hosted Christmas crafternoon with another mommy at our daycare two groups were invited, about 40 people showed up I guess (I brought 5 myself: hubby, our daughters, 2 overnight guests). I had three tables making bookmarks, yarn hats and paper bag stars.

26. Infamous first batch of IYP items for edelC and Averia. In a bag. Somewhere in the craft room hopefully. Will turn up at some paint and get sent out!

27. Second batch of IYP items for edelC and Averia. Those have been mailed out.

28. Harry Potter bookmarks (for a swap)

29. fabric centies mounted on cardboard twinchies (for a swap)

30. sashiko inspired twinchies for a swap

31. Black and teal lattice necklace (Times for Asheville Adventure)

32. Dragonfly jewelry for a swap

33. Fiery multistrand necklace for a swap (strength, love & energy)

34. Blue lattice necklace for a swap

35. & 36. hooplas for STS

37. dragonfly stitch markers for STS

I made 5 or 6 sets of 5 each with different beads. Size is about 1 inch.

38. cabochon studs (to use some stash, for STS)

39. Bremen flag Speckflagge (bacon flag) for Little Visitor in cross stitch

40. teal flowers skirt

41. Metal stamped birth stone necklace for a swap

42. Metal stamped kids names necklace for same swap (couldnt decide)

43. Lattice necklace in teal for my aqua class teacher

44. Lattice necklace in black and pink for my favourite aqua class substitute teacher (as I haven't seen her for months I still have that one

45. embroidered Hitchhiker to the Galaxy hoopla for a swap

46. Hitchhiker bracelet

47. universe bracelet

48. black & grey multi strand necklace with a magnetic clasp for a swap

49. grey lattice necklace wit a magnetic rhinestone clasp (new technique for attaching that, I was so proud!)

50. thread catcher for a swap

51. yellow lattice necklace as replacement for a STS package that came back to me (very slowly)

52. necklace with cat cross stitch pendant for a swap

53. embroidered fox hoopla (both kids helped stitching this

Once again, I want to do an alphabet of swaps, so:

And then some projects. I think the important thing is actually taking and posting pictures of the things I've finished. I'm going to work really hard on actually documenting what I've done this year!

Over on the destashing thread, gaudiknight's posted a year's worth of themes. I'm going to make a reconned and/or scrappy shirt for each of those themes!

1. white/dots
2. pink/swirls
3. green/flowers
4. purple/paisley
5. yellow/stripes
6. orange/solids
7. red/checks
8. rainbow/stars
9. grey/argyle
10. black/lace
11. brown/plaid
12. blue/shiny

I also want to work on:
1. tie-dyeing flat sheet
2. compile patchwork christmas sheet
3. crayon cards
4. gradient cards
5. zombie tm patch cover

I'm not attached to your world, nothing heals, nothing grows... we used to love ourselves, we used to love one another.

life is no cabaret- we don't care what you say, we're inviting you anyway, you mf'ers, you'll sing someday!

My list is probably going to change but this is my rough draft.

This is really inspiring and I would love to join in. My focus this year is on making gifts and handmade cards, learning some new crafts, and using up my stash.

Here is a start to my list...

1. Cross stitch project (Heartfelt quote)
2. Cross stitch project (Buttons & Beads Christmas Village book store)
3. Make a quilted something of some sort
4. Placemats
5. Scrapbook of our cruise pictures
6. Christmas cards

gala...do you mind if I copy your list from the destash?  I tend to forget what the themes are because I spend more time on this thread...I think if I did what you did, I could stay more in line with my goals!

wow...CLM...congrats on posting the first project of 2018!  Nice way to start with a lovely notebook cover...

I use my list as a loose guide...I add things in as I make them and they are often not even on my list!

I think we all use our lists just to help us in our own way, but I also love seeing projects that inspire me ...especially if they are knit or crochet items!
