I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.

I find that miniatures can either take me a tiny amount of time or a ridiculous amount of time, but nothing really in between. This particular project fit into the former category, mostly due to having a pre-made hutch that only required staining. The only things I made were the polymer clay squash, the paper banner, a cornucopia, and some crepe paper flowers.

The drawers actually open. That's exciting.

I found a tutorial for weaving a miniature cornucopia and even though it came out wonky, it worked fine. The flowers are much simpler to make. All you need is thin green wire, crepe paper in green and another color, and glue. Cut a long, thin strip from the flower color crepe paper, then make small snips along one long edge. Dip the end of the wire in glue and wrap the crepe paper around and around, adding glue as needed.

Cut a small circle from the green crepe paper and poke a hole in the center. Add a bit of glue to underside of flower and slide the circle up the wire to cover the glue. Roll it around.

Using a toothpick or your fingers, spread out the petals of the flower. Ta-da!

This is the cutest. I love all the mischievous wee squirrels! And the hedgie, and the teensy gnome, I have some of those hard-to-aquire beads, they are so sweet.
The flowers look like dandelions, those are my favourites Smiley.

I'm not online as much as I used to be, don't panic if it takes a while for me to reply to things Smiley.

There's not much in this world that can't be improved by either chocolate, bacon or glitter.

Lovely!  I like the combination of realistic 3-D items and the flat printed critters.

Darling pottermouth, you are both amazing, and insane.  Wink  Seriously though, I love the attention to detail in your miniatures.  The extra mile you go in making each teeny tiny flower brings each one to life in a way store bought miniatures never could.
