My youngest is OBSESSED with Pokemon. He watches the cartoons, plays the card game with my husband and plays Pokemon Go with me any chance he can get. Naturally he wanted a Pokemon costume for Halloween but none of the store-bought ones quite appealed. He loves Evees of all types, but especially Flareons.

I used a bunny pattern and adjusted it as needed. The bright yellow ruff snaps off so the costume is easy to slip on and off and the hood velcros closed. I used boning in the ears to try to help them stand up but it didn't quite work. They tended to curl forward but at least didn't flop limply to his shoulders. My son loved the costume and spent all night proudly telling everyone all about it. Until he passed out in a pile of candy.

Here's a picture of Flareon for reference.

Thanks elliot_anne & bunny1kenobi!

I'm glad my son liked the costume because I'd have been peeved at all that construction and sewing time if he hated it!

I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.

Excellent job; that is one adorable poke-boy!  I particularly like the first photo with him lying on the floor with his candy haul and the poke-ball shaped trick or treat bag (a backpack?) was a great touch too!
