I made a little thing for the OTT swap.  Well technically it is a bunch of little things, but all combined are under 4x4" so I consider it one thing.   Grin
Finished diorama with little twinkle lights in the top.  I got a set of 6 of these lights to make some Mickey ears for a trip to Disney, which got cancelled due to Irma, so I had some left over...

The box was from a box of Happy Socks, cut out the middle and taped the two ends together - painted and covered in pieces of chipboard (? I think that's what it's called?)

The kitty and pumpkin in process - paper clay.  I swapped the eyes out because I realized I needed the kind with the vertical pupils.

Sometimes I make myself laugh.  The bottom of the cat... which was subsequently glued in, so this will never be seen.   Grin

The back of the diorama with the little switch.

Other notes - the thimble I just used a couple of pieces of some Tim Holtz paper tape to cover, and broke the head off one of my dollar store skellies...  the moon is paper clay done in a mold I have, covered with a bit of foil from the outer part of a candy wrapper.  The background is just cardstock run through with an embossing folder and dry brushed.

I love reading how things are made!  I wish I knew how t sculpt with clay...so many cute things!  I did not realize you also made the pumpkin!

The lights are so tiny and really light up the diorama nicely at night.

What a fun little project!

Thanks so much for showing the bottom of kitty's feet!  I love tiny details that nobody else sees.
didja know that you can use museum wax or blutack to hold things in place but they're still removable?  just sayin'

I am lighting it up tonight in my foyer so the little ones can see when they come trick or treating!

I will take a pic of it all lit up!
