This past week I crocheted some scarves and my children and I donated them to people waiting outside our local homeless shelter.  There are no pictures of the recipients out of respect for them.  My children enjoyed it very much.  The weather here was -4 the day we delivered them.  In the next month it could be as cold as -40!  We decided to make this a monthly trip of giving Smiley

P.s. as a side note my youngest 2 children we adopted from Foster Care 5 years ago.  They loved being able to be part of giving back.

I planned on leaving a bigger post however we are camping in the boonies as its a long weekend where we live.  I have one sporadic intermittent bar of cell service and have to use it wisely as it appears.  I love seeing all the goodness coming from this challenge!

My youngest is 10 and she has started to crochet some for our next delivery Smiley  We plan on going at least once a month to drop some off.  Its mighty cold here at night.  My kids were in awe of how thankful these people were for something that seems so small.

This is wonderful! It's never too early to teach kids how it feels to give back. We need that good in our world. And the scarves look so pretty and warm! A monthly trip is a great idea!

With so much hate in the world it is great to see someone giving back to their community. Wonderful that your children are involved and get to learn the joy of giving.  Thank you so much for caring about others.
