I just finished a series of journals/sketchbooks that I've been working on for about a year, on and off.

I used UV-reactive acrylic paint on wood. I suspect that not many people would be doing their writing/sketching by blacklight, but I think it looks cool. Looks really neat with 3-D glasses on, too.

Have to touch up a few stars that had a paint transfer issue and try to fix those rings of paint  Tongue, but it's a relief to have them (mostly) done.

Oh my goodness. Those nebula paint jobs are absolutely beautiful. I love the fun paper inside and the compass rose button clasps. Great work Smiley

Cosmic!  I didn't even know there was such a thing as ultraviolet-reactive paint.  What are you going to do with them all?  Use them yourself, give them as gifts, etc.?

Thanks, everyone!

I'm not sure what I'm going to do with them. Gifts or auction donations, probably. I like having a small stash of giftable items in case something comes up. It was just one of those projects that I started because I thought it would fun to combine a style of binding I'd recently learned with something I'm trying to get better at (painting).

The paint came from Wildfire paints.

Each one is a beauty on it's own but set up as a collection like that? Whoa, spectacular! The bindings are so special too, and those buttons! Very nice work indeed.

Thank you all so much. <3

They really are nice to write/sketch in and they lay perfectly flat. I had made a couple last year just like this, but with maps decoupaged onto the covers, for myself and my son.

I never gave them a thread, so I'll just post pics here:
