I can ask the recipient to measure mine, when she gets a moment.

Thank you! I had asked the recipient of my eventual shawl to measure one of her favorite shawls (I showed her the yarn at Christmas, then promptly took it back Smiley ), but she has an insane work schedule right now, so I don't want to bug her about it.

Ok, my Warlock shawl measured 30" from the center back, down to the point; 60" across the top; and 42" along each 'side'.  (Thank you for measuring darling edelC!!!)  If you look at the pic of it on me, I'm just 5' tall, and a curvy US size 20, and it wrapped around me well, without being to short across the arms.

That is so much bigger than mine. I only had 2 very small balls of yarn left over, one the size of a quarter, the other about a silver dollar. I wonder what size pottermouth's turned out, she used a 3.5 hook and I a 5.

ETA that is a lovely warm and snuggly hug indeed!

Took me a little bit to finish the last scarf on my hook, but now I'm in for this! I am already almost done with one yarnball worth of shawl (will take progress picture soon! soon!) with yarn I bought myself last year. Glad to give it life with this beautiful pattern. I have two more skeins of the same dye lot so I may just work it up til the yarn is gone, which will grow to much bigger than a shawlette.

Sheepblue--are you using fingering weight yarn for that?  What a gorgeous color!

I organized all of my yarn and found several skeins of fingering weight yarn...can't remember what I bought them for, so I am looking for projects to use them up...ha ha.

I think it's closer to a worsted weight - definitely too thick to be an inside scarf (for my tastes) but it's soft and warm and I love the color.
