I want to make this happen this year! It's normal Secret Santa in many respects, but you post your wishlist to the swap thread (like in OWS), and anyone can secretly claim you for something. You can take on as many giftees as you choose, and you may have numerous Secret Santas sending you things. Every claim is assigned a code name, and I, as organizer, keep track of which code names go with which person and claim, and I act as an intermediary if a Santa has a question for their giftee. It is sneaky, benevolent mischief, and I love it!  Cheesy

Here is the thread of the other round I organized, so many years ago:
https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=279836.msg3167910

Crafting and gifting would be for 2 smalls or a medium, and wishlists for swappers' family members are also welcome. Crafted items do not have to be seasonal/holiday-themed, unless that is what the giftee wants. Assuming all goes well and I don't get waylaid by life, sign-ups would begin in early November, and send-outs would be during the first days of December. International swappers more than welcome, as are first-time swappers, though there would be a limit on how many pending claims a new swapper could make at one time.

I would need a back-up organizer for emergencies, and to handle the claim of anyone who wants to be my Secret Santa.

I had so much fun with this swap and I know other people enjoyed the mystery of it too (as well as the loot they received)! Feel free to ask me any questions. Now I'm posting this, I'm accountable to all of you to follow through on  it!

I am absolutely in if we can be givers without needing to also be receivers. I love making and do not always want something in return, I use crafting for free therapy most of the time, ha! Holiday angel packages sound like JUST THE THING!

At first I thought...that's CRAZYTOWN!

But CLM pointed out how utterly brilliant this is. Yeah, I could be down with this. I love to make and send. Also, people can request straight RANDOM stuff. Because why not?

So when you claim a person, you make either 2 smalls or a medium? From their posted list? I'm going to check the original thread again, and wrap my head around it.

I have a set of 80s Halloween cardstock decorations - skeleton,  witch, and ghost - with minor imperfections. PM me if you would like them!

Yay kayrun!  Kiss

Yes, that's pretty much it. You can go as large as you want, but I don't want the size/difficulty expectations to be a source of stress.  Smiley

It IS completely crazytown!  Cheesy

I agree with CLM, giving in secret is my favorite part! Usually there has to be some kind of exchange in an organized swap, even if it is just a thank-you note in the mail. One option would be to put up a very minimal wishlist, so you might just receive one item but send several. Who knows, it might evolve toward a Givers and Needers style swap!

You could also request things that are intended to be donated to charity or abandoned in public, which would lend to the experience-as-gift idea and the gift-giving spirit.  Smiley

I would love to get abandonable art in return! Or note cards, I use lots of those. I certainly can think of a few things I'd like to receive, I have a little listy-loo of desired items for sure.

oh, this makes me want to participate even more!
because I try to make warm items (and really anything needed for daily life) to send
to Pine Ridge Reservation, and this would absolutely rock my world to have others
help out!
