I recently crocheted a rainbow cardigan for my niece. A friend loved it so much, she wanted a sweater for her young daughter, but she customized the colors. Her daughter is two, and has recently become obsessed with Halloween. She chose candy corn colors, and it was so much fun to make! I decided my niece needed a second sweater in Halloween colors as well, but I changed up the color scheme yet again. She's five, and she keeps asking when Halloween is. She's also super excited! Smiley

Here is the sweater I made for my niece.

She was feeling very goofy while I was trying to shoot some photos of her wearing it. She wouldn't stay still, and kept being super silly.

I love how the Frankenstein applique turned out. It makes for a wonderful pocket. My sister requested I make it the size larger than my niece actually needs so that it will fit this year and next year, which makes total sense to me. It's a little large on her right now, but not so huge that she can't wear it.

The candy corn sweater is also super adorable. I personally would have preferred to make a candy corn pocket, but my friend requested a jack-o-lantern, so that's what I made. It's super cute as well, and definitely fits the Halloween theme Smiley

I have so many more ideas for different color schemes and applique options. i think I will be starting a few of those next! Smiley

Cool pair of sweaters; I prefer the Frankenstein green & purple design, but they're both neat-o.  I think it was better to have the pumpkin pocket than a piece of candy corn, because the colored stripes already successfully convey that imagery, so, you get a double does of Halloween with the pumpkin addition.

Thank you, everyone. And Patraw, that is an excellent point! I didn't think of it that way. I like the jack-o-lantern even more now Smiley

I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.

Be still, my heart! These are the bestest sweaters on the planet. Count me in for wanting an adult sized Frankie sweater too!

Thank you Smiley I also want an adult sized version. I'm thinking I may need to make a small cape for my cat, whose name is Frankenstein. He needs a little mascot sweater. I'm going to have to find an adult sized sweater that will fit me that I can add the color theme to Smiley
