I hate cold weather. And I especially hate dressing for it. So in an attempt to ward off the "brrrr blues", I'm looking for ways to revamp some older pieces that have been banished to the "junk drawer". First up: DIY elbow patches!

This is very cute. I've done a little felting of roving or felt or scraps of knit fabric on holes in woolens but I like the look of stitches, your elbow patches are a great idea.

Thank you! The patches are glued on, so the stitches were mostly for contrast, although they definitely help reinforce the patches! Smiley

I uber dig this.

I have about 10 different elbow patch sweaters pinned, but so far have been stuck with analysis paralysis as to what shape I should make. So I genuinely applaud you. You will be wearing the fun while I'm still over thinking it!
