Are those millions of tiny French knots? CRAZYTOWN! I did them on a project recently, and that is some dedication to the poker face cause!

Great badges! I like the execution!

I received my wicked good badges from dfabbric who totally spoiled me. She made FOUR badges instead of 2 because she says she feels like machine embroidering them was cheating. OMG are you kidding me? These are so GOOD!

The 4th is a "mystery" badge that I should assign my own meaning to. I couldn't help laughing because I have posted so many mushroom projects and tutorials in the past few months, lol. It's perfect for me. I especially like that it's in black and white as my mushroom crafts have all been rainbow so I may try fabric tinting for the first time with that patch. Awesome.
Thanks so much, I so enjoy receiving items I couldn't make for myself and these totally fit the bill. Yours are going into the mail tomorrow, hope you like them half as much!
Thanks for organizing FWR!

I have received and they are FABULOUS!!!

I'm always envious of those of you who are quick crafters. I am the opposite. I am slow. Deliberate. Meditative. Turtle like even. For this patch bywilma chose my "Craft Turtle" theme. I think she nailed it.

And then she chose my "Queen of the Dorks" theme...with some added Bob's Burgers love! (Which I asked for!) It's perfect!

Thank you so much for swapping with me bywilma!

I COMPLETELY agree! The shadowing is brilliant! I want to try that myself!

I really love the solid satin stitching around the badge. And the weave of the khaki layer. And the execution. And I adore Teeney Tina. Yeah, I just love it all. Great job, bywilma!

Also, I'm glad mine are already in the mail. I shoulda coordinated with your other buddy, as was suggested! Oy!

Grin I'm okay with dupilcates. As we have seen swapping TM patches and other things, the same theme in two people's hands are usually massively different!

'massively different' - Yes. This.

But this time I like it so much, I'm still fine with it. I hope you are too!

Also, I wrote an epistle. Then wrote on the back. Just rambled away. Good luck reading that!

Oh wow, I just received my package from Fatewineroses and it's sooooo pretty!

Here are both badges together:

Aren't they pretty?

This is my Tea Queen badge. I absolutely love tea and I drink a lot of it. I also have a collection of teacups and teapots. So this is perfect for me. I also love how she put the text Tea Queen in the steam. I also think the shape of this badge is perfect for a queen Wink I was wondering, did you use tea to color the fabric?

I looooove this one, so much! This Happy Camper badge is my favorite out of the two. We own a restyled caravan from the late 1980's. We did the work last year and we had our first camping trip with it this year.

Thank you so much Fatewineroses! I love them both so much. You are so talented!

I'm so happy they got to you safely! And quick too! Yes! I, too, could be a tea queen. If I had room, I would definitely have a collection of tea pots. The fabric was a simple cotton, then I soaked it in my favorite earl grey. I didn't want it too dark; but I definitely wanted a tea feel to it. Every time my boyfriend handed me back these after inspecting them he would tell me, "You really should start making some of these things to keep."  Grin I seriously thought about keeping (or making another for me) the tea queen badge.  Cheesy

The detail is incredible! Love the stitches and the fabric, that colourful stuff is amazeballs. That steamy writing is so great, wow.

What did I tell you about the variety that was gonna show up in this gallery? None of these are alike and none are like what I made either. This swap is THE BEST!

I love the scripty steam (or steamy script?)!  It's so subtle, but what a fantastic little detail to include.

I know this is a complete duplication of the others, but HOLY MOLEY!  I love your work, fate!  The stitching and the details. I way you included the words so subtly - even the font you use.

But let's talk about that fabric.  I don't know where that fabric came from, but it is UTTER-LY DE-VINE.  I crush that jenk BAD.

And all the fabulous stitches for the wilderness and the tiny popup.  The color layers of the grass and the rising (or setting?) sun.

yeah, I rock these little guys, too.

\m/

also - my badges from fate arrived today as well!  SQUEE!!!  I will be posting photos later!!  waittilyaseethem!

Awww. Thanks! That "font" is merely my handwriting. I originally was thinking of a stack of cups. I must have looked at five hundred pictures. I kept going back to some of the single cups with swirls.

I took the cup I liked the shape of best, and combined it with about two different pictures of the steam coming up from the cup.

Then I found the two tendrils of steam that would best incorporate the text...and wrote it in. I used those tendrils because I love how it incorporated the little tiny hearts.

I *really* love the cup though. It's a simple design...which highlighted this beautiful variegated thread I had. Made it textured, soft and feminine.

But it was too plain by itself. I had the flowery fabric (Tim Holtz, Bouquet Multi) from a purse kit I never made (I bought it for the pattern and the fabric really) that I thought would match it. But what to do?Huh I looked at all sorts of designs of badges and patches and ribbons. The bunting back was the winner! At the last minute I added the two ribbons on the bottom. I actually had to take stitches out of the bunting part and restitch it so I could incorporate them. My bf agreed that it made it SO much better!

I still have some of that tea fabric. And I try to keep a copy of all of my final designs in my craft notebook (does everyone have one of those?), so I have that. Maybe I *will* make one for myself.  I am a tea FIEND! Hmm. That sounds like a different badge altogether!  Cheesy

Oh my gosh, sister crafter, lol. I think our process this time round was very similar, a thousand photos, notebook sketches, etc etc. My mister thinks they are both terrific too, broad appeal!

The badges so far are so cool! And so different!

I've finally got some time off so I'll be able to send this weekend. First badge of doom is ready and the second is coming along nicely. I've been stitching and assembling on the balcony in the sun in between some much needed cleaning. The dust bunnies might grow sentinent soon if we don't start some population control!

I received my own from fatewineroses and I just fell in love.

There's a roller coaster called The Zipper, and I have such a love for it, I keep adding it to my request list. I'm hoping to have multiples, and look at how tiny she made hers!

Can you believe it's only 3 in? Look at all the tiny stitches! It's literally a pocket Zipper! And so different from my other, which is just as we have discussed - everyone has their own take, and this her version. Lucky me!

**Mature image ahead**

I also requested something super snarky, and boy do I love her selection

to change your image viewing settings please click here

Her base fabric has such texture, and the [almost] laurel motif is so elegant next to the message. I saw the text and laughed!  I do like the sweet and sour.

I had considered going crazy and adding some snark to hers, as well, but I chickened out and went safe. Bok! Bok! But no worries, cuz there will be another chance! We will swap again, fatewineroses! Cuz it's fate!  <--- see what I did there?

Thank you so much, lovely lady! And thank you for organizing!

The detail in the Zipper just floors me - but what really caught my eye was the multi-coloured French knots all around the perimiter, just like blinking lights at a fair!

I sent (laaate) and received today... After dropping my package off before work I checked the tracking and realised thanate's package for me had arrived. Sure enough, when I got home there was a notice to pick it up!

I was lucky enough to receive three badges!

This was the extra one. Ann power! Because we're both named Ann  Grin

Cat badge, and cat. I love that it's a yarny cat craft badge and the ball of yarn is a super cute detail.

And some days I feel like I need a medal for taking my meds. And now I have!

Thank you so much!

I like the use of denim very much, that is super clever! The yarn ball's the best, awesome compositions all.

Ann Power is my favorite! Followed closely by yarn crafts with cats. That's hard stuff man! Anyone that attempts that deserves a badge!

Okay. I received from Joyful Clover! As expected, they are FAB-UL-OUS!

First off is my "Not Grown Up" theme. Life is serious and I think it is important to retain a kid's sense of wonder about the world. I absolutely LOVE the feather and how she incorporated the ribbon by stitching on it. Just wonderful.

And my second badge was another version of "Turtle Crafter." I absolutely love it! Especially because I kind of think it also incorporates a theme I didn't add in but thought I did!  Roll Eyes I live by the ocean! I have ALWAYS wanted to live by the ocean. ALWAYS. In my entire life I have been land locked (lived too far away from a major water source) ONCE...and it was miserable. Right now I live so close to the ocean that I see it EVERY DAY. and I love it.

THANK YOU JC!!!!! She also was my Swap Angel for the TM Patch swap. If you want to see THAT fabulousness, head on over to that gallery!

The cats only tried to kill my yarn and embroidery thread a couple times for this swap Grin I had to put the crafts away at one time because embroidery thread plus needle plus cat is not a good combo.

Yay, fatewineroses!  I'm so happy they arrived and you like them! It was weird working in small. I like how they both turned out, though, even if it was a duplicate! Catch a wave, fate!

***************

I received from Witty_Child!

I'm not sure how I will use my badges, so I requested raw/unfinished edges with a lot of ease so I could have options.

Look at this sweet, sweet Maker patch!

That is a hand stitched ring around the edge, AN EMBROIDERY HOOP!, and a teensy little silver needle! Can you believe it? I love it's open to the making of all things, but especially needlework stuffs!

I also asked for 'Dogs - mutts in crazy colors'. Random prompt, huh? But look at what she stitched for me!

I cannot describe how much I love it! I have been so lucky to have so many different dogs (mostly mutts, but all rescues), and the silhouettes allow for every kind! I honestly thought this request was a shot in the dark.

These little patches makes me really, really happy, Witty. Plus, your stitchwork is so small and precise!  Thank you for being such a great and fun partner. I hope yours arrives soon!

I love bywilmas' aesthetic. And I'm still digging on the letter shadowing! Great job, and fun topics!

Those are cracking me up Cheesy.
I'm feeling a bit of the "should have checked in with my partner's other partner" thing myself right now. Styles are totally different but content is similar. You know though, in life you'd most likely win more than one award for something you were really great at. Right?
