Alas, this poor fairy was used to magically light the lantern, but was forgotten.  With no way out, the poor fairy wasted away.  Some of her fairy magic has remained in the lantern and on magical nights, when the moon is full, the lantern glows.

OK so basically I used fire to mold the skeleton into position.  The wings already looked pretty aged so I just had to pull them apart.  And I put a flickering electric tea light in the top for cool effects.

That's a really neat idea for a project, but I feel so bad for the poor fairy; great job!

Tinker Bell tells me that there are special punishments for thoughtless humans who forget to let fairies out of their lanterns!   Grin
