My favorite Project Runway shows are the found materials and Avant-Garde challenge! I LOVE the texture of the skirt, especially placed aside the simplicity of the bust. And the flowers draw the eye up!

I'd totes vote you as the winner of the round!

so, was it worn in a wedding, or is a theoretical wedding dress?

I love the idea and the roses.  The stone texture of the skirt is interesting, but a rock skirt doesn't scream "wedding" to me.

Thank you!  Cheesy  Those are my favorite challenges, too, so it was fun to try out something different!

No wedding.  It was just made for fun, for gishwhes (the Greatest International Scavenger Hunt the World Has Ever Seen).  The bottom was inspired by puffy gathered taffeta.  I did the best I could with 8.5" x 11" paper.  Cheesy

Well I think its GLORIOUS! When paper is crumpled, it softens, so I don't know how you were able to keep the structure! And it's so unexpected! Layering the skirt would have been predictable. The undulating pieces reflect the intense construction and gives it visual interest.

I rocked this suckha hard!

Thanks, dear!  You are so sweet!  There was definitely some paper molding and folding going to get the shape and keep it.  Cheesy
