Since I've had a few inquiries recently, I thought I should announce that I am planning to do another round of Back to Hogwarts this year.  Currently planning on the following:

Signups: August 13-20th (8 days of signups)
Sendouts: September 18th (4 weeks of crafting)

This is a shorter signup and shorter crafting period than we have done in the past, but I would like the swap to be well over and put away to bed before having to organize our annual Harry Potter Holiday Swap.  Because of this shorter time frame I am considering altering the swap requirements.  In the past we have done 1 Large, 1 Medium, & 1 Small.  Currently I'm considering 1 Large & 1 Medium OR 2 Smalls, but I am very much open to suggestions from potential swappers.

Thoughts?

Here's a link to the last round of the swap: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=440272.0

Yes yes! My boyfriend and I have been listening to the HP audiobook, his first time! He's getting really into it so I had him sorted on pottermore and he's a HUFFLEPUFF. I'm a Slytherin and Id love some H+S items!

I'm a fan of the smaller requirements.

I support this timeline. As for requirements, what about the option of "one medium or 2 smalls"? I think that should cover most projects a person would be sane enough to attempt in such a time frame.

I will likely be in with the smaller requirements. I like the 1 medium or 2 smalls that Ant Bee suggested. Smiley

Do you guys mean 1 medium or 2 smalls as the total amount of crafted items?  Or are you referring to my option in the first post that lists 1 large & 1 Med OR 2 Smalls?

I'm a bit worried about the requirements being just 2 smalls.  That means literally 1 hour 2 hours of crafting time total...

Or a Small = Earrings, stickers, wallets, pouches, bookmarks

I'm not saying no to that idea, I'm just expressing concern, since MOST of our regular HP swappers tend to do more than that, but if new folks want to join the swap (which is GREAT) than there might be a whole lot of very uneven packages going out.  Plus the HP Holiday Swap is 1-3 smalls, depending on how many partners someone chooses.

I usually judge size requirements by:

By Time
-Large = 3 or more hours
-Medium = 2 or more hours
-Small = 2 or less hours

Though really, I don't actually count hours or anything. In general, for me, 2 smalls roughly equal one medium time-wise.

If there is a requirement for a large item I will likely sit this round out. I know that I won't have the capacity to make that commitment during the time frame. I will happily watch from the sidelines, though! Smiley

What about 1 Medium and 2 Smalls?  That way people could still make 3 items like in previous rounds, but the crafting time would be around 4 hours.  Thoughts?
