I've been a busy bee these last few weeks, making inventory for my very first craft sale spot in an event happening at a local church. Michael's was having an amazing sale on their faux flowers so I bought a few bunches, thinking I would put them in mason jars(I wanted to make essential oil scented oil lamps), but the idea just wasn't panning out the way that I'd hoped. In an effort not to waste the supplies, I decided to make pens and they came out so well, I had to go back to Michael's to get more flowers to make even more. It couldn't be easier either! You just take green garden tape(I got mine from the dollar store), a pack of pens, and the flowers of your choice. Cut your stems a bit shorter than the length of the pen or short of where the cap fits if you intend to keep the caps(I did). From there, you could just tape the stem to the pen and spiraling down seems to be the best method for that. Before I taped mine though, I actually took a pair of needlenose pliers and bent the stem about a quarter inch down from the flower. The flower bent 90 degrees up and the stem bent 90 degrees down, so it has a little notch to rest on the top of the pen. I just think it makes for nicer presentation. I'm thinking about selling them for $2 a piece or 3 for $5 and will be offering the option of scenting them with my essential oils for an additional dollar or as a complimentary option if they buy six or more. Since they really work best in bouquet form, I'm thinking that might have an appeal. Tell me your thoughts on the pricing! Like I said, this is my first time trying to run a sale like this and I want to price things to sell!

Good use of the florals - it's hard to see, the pictures look a bit distorted, but it looks like you used floral tape down the sides of the pens?
