I made this snowflake ornament for my swap partner in the Christmas in July swap. I used the pattern I found in the book A Cross Stitch Christmas: A Heartwarming Holiday. After stitching the snowflake on the perforated paper, I mounted the square on a piece of felt, sewing the design in four spots. Last time I used glue on perforated paper, the glue went through the holes making the top of the design look fuzzy :-(

The beads make up parts of the snowflake design which got me on a bead kick. I may have to tackle one of those Mill Hill ornament kits now. This snowflake pattern was a good starting point.

The tacky bob bead holder was a godsend. I was able to stitch on the couch without losing all my beads.

It is very pretty, the beads make is special. And I had to look up tacky bob bead holder, what a nifty tool! Hope I can find one here in Canada, I am forever losing beads on my lap, the couch, the floor, ha ha!
