I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.

I got a really, really cool (it is that cool) Matchbox Cabinet Kit from Alpha Stamps and made a dollhouse sized cupboard that is chock full of pantry goodies. It is old, well-used, and TINY. I gave the cabinet a chicken wire door (tulle mesh colored with a silver Sharpie), a teensy spice rack made from basswood trim, bitty peaches in a jar (polymer clay, made by one of my kids!), and a cute cocoa container.

The cupboard itself was glued together, gessoed, painted beige, then coated with white glue and white acrylic to achieve the aged appearance. Knickertwist has an excellent tutorial on how to do this.

All of the collage sheets are from Alpha Stamps, so making a handful of cans, jars, and bottles was a snap.

I have a Greenleaf dollhouse kit that has been waiting for me...maybe Aunt Tess's cupboard will make an appearance later on.

I'm so happy to see this shared here on Craftster.  I'm a sucker for tiny jars of stuff and you're awesome at it.  This rocks!

I love this tiny cabinet, and the fact that it's so perfectly aged. All those little bottles and jars are so cute!

Very impressive and realistic; if I didn't already know it was a miniature from your text description, I would have immediately assumed it was a real, full-sized object, as well as the contents.  I've never seen a cupboard with a chicken wire door--did they actually do that back in the day (cheaper than glass I'd imagine)?  Wonderful job weathering it too (including the tear in the chicken wire . . . methinks a hungry kitty might have been sitting on top, trying to liberate a snack).  Your kid did a great job on the peaches too!

Your miniatures looks great! I love the idea of using tulle mesh for chicken wire. Every miniature item also looks great, love the peaches Cheesy
