So I have sewn and crafted for my whole life and I have made a quilt-as-you-go rag quilt; however, I have never completed a traditional quilt before....until NOW! I have been working on this quilt for over 3 years and when it came down to quilting it I tried many times and quilted parts of it 4 times and ripped it out 4 times. Then after talking with my Aunt who has made a number of beautiful quilts I discovered basting spray and my life changed. After 2 weeks the quilt is finally done and I love it. Please enjoy the pictures. My little assistant loves it too, she got so excited when I wrapped her up in it.  Cheesy

It looks fantastic! I love basting spray, too. I've only made three, but have never pin basted and hope I never have to!

Congrats on your first finish, it's such an amazing feeling to get that first one done! I love basting spray, it's the best!  So, what's next on your quilt to-do list? Smiley

Thank you both for your kind words. I think the next quilt I want to do is a denim cathedral quilt. At lease I think that's what you call it Tongue

Congrats!  What a beautiful start to a life long hobby!  I love scrappy patchwork the best!

I am also a huge fan of basting spray...which is why I make the tops in winter and quilt in the spring/summer...I can spray mine outside on the deck or lawn!

Your little helper is adorable wrapped up in the quilt!

Can't wait to see the next one!
