I've made a few more things for my daughter's bday present this month. A handful of berries, a broccoli (learned a new stitch, bobble! PITA lol), a mini pumpkin, and a wedge of watermelon (this one gave me the most trouble).

Nice! I would NEVER have thought of the berries, I wonder if that's why they are my faves! You did a great job on all of them!

Thanks! The berries were easy enough. A tiny blue ball finished with 4 picot stitches for the bluets, the raspberries I stitched both from the bottom to top then top to bottom to see which I liked better. It found it best to do a chain of about 7 single crochet stitches, slip stitch to form a circle, then single crochet but around the chain rather than through the loops to give that nice finished looking edge. Then I did single crochet alternating front loop only with back loop only and also 2 stitches at a time to reduce and close the circle. That sounds like a lot of steps but really they were pretty quick.

Great job again!  Never seen berries done in this style, but they look great, the pumpkin's form/shape is perfect, and the watermelon does look like something that would be rather tricky to do in crochet, given all the different colors and seeds.  You're going to need an awful big package/box to put all of these creations in when you gift them to your daughter!

I'm going to crow a little in all my crochet food posts because I FINISHED this enormous project, gave it to my little one, and she loved it all!
