I mostly winged this one.

I pretty closely followed this free pattern for the crust on the Jennie Designs site. I liked how the edge is a 3D roll of dough. I did increase the size and I may have added a few stitches here and there to get it big enough to hold the toppings I'd made. It's worked from wide to narrow which I wanted to try just to get a feel for that method of shaping.

The cheese is a free pattern by Twinkie Chan and is worked from the point up. This did not fit my dough at all so I added many stitches along the way to get it the right size. It was cool to try the technique though, I'm glad I did the wedges both ways.

When searching for images I saw a few slices with cheese that had an organic looking edge that I liked more than the static half circles. This one and this one are cute. I just did an increase, decrease edge and filled the negative space in with red for sauce.

My toppings are fairly straight forward except for the mushroom, I can share the pattern if anybody is interested (I couldn't find one I liked online for free). I'm not so sure about the colour of that pepperoni though, bit too purple Tongue.

Finished a second piece just now. The size difference is what happens when you just wing it, ha ha. Oh well, really pizza isn't exactly the same either.

I like the wonky sauce & cheese edges.

SO cute!  How long did it take you to create a slice?

It worked up pretty fast actually, I was surprised. I started the crust and toppings yesterday and finished the crust, cheese, sauce and assembly this morning. Much quicker than a burger, that's for sure!

They just keep getting better! Are you going to make a greasy napkin to go with your slice?  Wink

Ha! I was just looking at the cutest chef's hat but I'm running out of time before the girl's bday. I need one more slice for the other kid so they won't argue. 2 burgers, 2 pieces of pizza, a whole lotta fruits and veggies. I have a feeling they are going to love playing with these Smiley.

Good call on two slices!  I can't believe how quickly you can make these.  I need 1/4 of your skills. Cheesy

Oh girl, I have no idea what I am doing at all. I have to keep at hand a list of what abbreviations mean any time I look at a pattern and then I just sort of imagine what it should go together like and then do my own thing because I can't follow all those little bunches of letters along the way. Argh, frustrating! I am trying to learn how to interpret charts because they are more visual but even they baffle.

I think this one is so quick because it's half double crochet stitches instead of single. That and I used a slightly thicker yarn with the same small hook. Now that I've done it once we'll see if I can get another finished really fast. I have the toppings already so maybe I can get it done by tonight.

I'm one of the few people that hates pizza (which made me a rather annoying birthday party guest as a child, as pizza was generally what was on the menu and annoyed parents had to provide me with something else to eat), but you did amazing work or your crocheted culinary creations again.  Colorful, with a good mix of toppings, and the irregular cheese edges do add a lot to the design.  If you see green domes poking up at the bottoms of your windows, beware, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are after your slices!
