I made this for curiousfae in the filled stitchery swap.  I don't embroidery much and thought this would be a good challenge.  This is the explosing Tardis scene from Doctor Who done in a Van Gogh-ish style.  I've painted this screen several times on coffee mugs and canvas.

I embroidered just using a simple back stitch and used 6 strands at a time (just from pure laziness).  In some areas there are 3,4, 5 different color stitches on top of each other giving the piece a bit of a dimensional look.

you did such a great job on this! the thicker short stitches really capture a this as a beautiful colorful explosion. happy to have it displayed in my craft room (favorite room in the house of course Wink)

Woah, this absolutely rocks!  And I giggled at the lazy comment.  If this method is the lazy one, I'm basically a sloth.  It would take me years to even create this. SO amazing!  Thank you for sharing.
