I'm going to keep making these until I get them perfect. Just like real cooking!

Lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, red onion.

Mmm, yum, burgers! I made 2 so the kids won't argue over them Tongue

I'm not thrilled with the cheese...

But the bacon is great!

I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.

Yay, more food! What kid wouldn't be thrilled with a burger and salad to play with? Looks great!

A friend teased that my lettuce looks like a colour blind granny messed up her doilies. He's mean like that Sad. I did make another version of lettuce in case the kids think that stuff looks goofy too.

Another great crochet food project; well done!  The tomatoes and onions are the most impressive elements in my opinion.  I do prefer the lettuce designs in your salad better than this cheeseburger example, as they looked more natural/realistic.  Your pickles would also make good cucumber slices. Your cheese looks fine to me and I prefer the one with the holes; it's not like there's much anyone can do to embellish a flat yellow square anyway (the only more elaborate things I can imagine are giving the cheese uneven "melty" edges, or crocheting it "melted" directly onto the meat patty itself).

Keep crocheting and stacking, and you'll have something even Dagwood Bumstead would envy!

Thanks! I made the pickles exactly like the cucumbers but different colours, 'cause they are just brined cucumbers after all Cheesy! The cheese I just didn't like the colour, I wanted American slices, that pale tangerine creamsicle shade but I can't find it anywhere, boo.

I like your bacon a lot better than the style I made!  And I think they look pretty darn perfect!

Thanks so much, high praise coming from you! I think you can see how I did the bacon, just some increases and decreases for the ziggity zag. I did not tie off the colours at the ends but sort of stitch/wove them in until they were not going to be in any more rows. I worked back to front, front to back, all kinds of wrong but I think that ended up making them look bacony. The brown, tan, and wine combo was better than brown, cream, and wine. That one looks a bit too undercooked for me Tongue.
I had to finagle the buns to get both sides the same size. There is a smaller and a larger bun, me figuring it out. That's ok though, the kids will be able to tell which belongs to whom. A lettuce round and one patty are smaller as well.

I am going to find that shade of orange I'm after, I AM. I want exactly American Cheese slices. I'm on a mission, lol.
