Pretty sure they put those house numbers up in 1969 when the house was built. Cheesy  We plucked them off when we repainted this spring.  Finally got around to putting the new ones together.  Scrap wood, stain and hangers from the garage + floating numbers.  Easy peasy.

That's a bit better! Smiley

This is really beautiful. I love the mid century modern numbers against the craftsman stained wood.

My house numbers are sad little digits. So dreary.

Any chance I could copy your brilliant idea?

Of course!  It was inspired by probably 32.7 Pinterest ideas once upon a time, so pay it forward. Smiley

Yes, I like the metal on weathered wood look too.

Mine is a single dinky number... I have been wanting a cool way to display it too for years.  Now that we are finally doing the new windows and siding, I may have to finally decide on that.  I may have to spell it out or put the street as part of sign.  Yours definitely is inspiring!

Thanks, sweets4ever!

Hey Onyxnox! A single number could have a leading zero to make it a double digit?  But, I've seen raised letters in same clean font at both of the big box stores. I think that could be just as neat to spell out your number.

Looks sooooo nice! And I bet the fire department really appreciates this kind of update. Can you imagine driving to a fire and having to read "eleven thirty four" while in a hurry to find 1134? Eek!

Yeah!  And that high up on the doorway arch is pretty much hidden from street view anyway due to the porch and trees.  Geez!
