[Moderator, if you feel this is the wrong category, you have my permission to move it.]

I had seen several of these, and thought them attractive; the price, not so much.
I decided that since I thought myself to be crafty, I would try to make one.
Online, there are lots and lots of different instructions for how to make Paracord _____.
I chose this one.
http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-make-a-paracord-wrist-lanyard-using-the-cob/?amp_page=true
(I don't have the copyright for listed instructions)

I had the notion that they were very difficult. The above link makes the shown picture very quickly. (I might even go so far as to call it "stupid-easy".) And the end result is just as attractive as the store-ones.

What do you think, Craftsters and guests?

It also works well with Rat-Tail Cord.

Why has it never crossed my mind to make one of these?!  It's awesome!  That pink one is just fabulous, too.

Thank you sweets4ever.
I think it's a new twist on the 70s fad of macrame, but way cooler. I think the theory is that if you need some cord, you can just undo your bracelet or knife-fob and ta-da, cord.
The pink one is not out of Paracord, it's a sewing notion called Rat-tail cord. It wouldn't be very good for "survivalist adventures".  Cheesy
The black one is made from Paracord. I bought it (the Paracord) at an outdoors store. (Also handles fishing and camping and hunting gear) Paracord is also available online, E-bay and other websites, too.
There are also lots of other how-to instructions for lanyards and bracelets. I haven't yet tried them, but this one is super-easy.

Enjoy.
