Project Picture:

Prompt: July: Guild of Learned Bookbinders and Librarians (via crone, craftopia)

Team: Clan of Creators

Bonus Points:

Project Name: Lidded stoneware pot

Project Link:

Brief Description: A lidded pot can store things, keep them safe, and help maintain temperature and humidity. Just like a library.

Prompt: July: Loaves you guild (crone, craftopia)

Team: Clan of Creators

Bonus Points:

Project Name: Porcelain cups of POISON

Project Link:

Brief Description: All glaze is technically poison, because if you ingest it, it's like eating glass dust.
I made 6 of these little cups that may or may not be perfect for holding poison.

Also posting for my Hero's Journey 25 bonus points!

I am a teacher, and school is starting for students on Monday (yes, very soon. yes, I already have had to be there for full days of professional development for more than a week...), so I'm planning to help as many elementary and middle school kids find their way around and become acclaimated to the building and routines as much as possible. I'm hoping to also help out other teachers who might need assistance (as I am an elective areas teacher, so my load is not quite like some others for the first few days).

Is this too vague?

I think it sounds great! My niece is starting kindergarten next Monday. We met her teacher today! August 7 seems insanely early to me. I never had to start that early.

It is insanely early, but that's when they all start here. (Except my old teaching job, which was year round, would already be a month in by now. With no break in between. EWW.)

Prompt: August Battle - Spoke to the fairy
Team: Creator
Bonus Points: Community
Project Name: Pink Flamingo repaint
Project Link: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=452886.0
Brief Description: This is for the garden where the fairies live. I roughly sanded the rust with steel wool and sandpaper. Then used that black can of Krylon Maxx to chemically convert the rust to a painted surface. Make sure to get RUST CONVERTER. The fella at Schmallmart didn't know paint and tried to give me the wrong thing. I used the plastic wrap to quickly tape off areas.

Prompt: August - Battle - Ask the Dwarves
Team: Clan of the Makers
Bonus Points:
Project Name: 12 point blanket
Project Link:
Brief Description: I decided to whip up a quick blanket using some yarn from my grandmother's stash. I used three skeins, and it took me about 10 hours. It measures 45" across from one peak to one valley. The variegated colors are blue, green, purple, yellow, and a tiny bit of white.

I am using this for the battle because blankets offer comfort.

Prompt: August - 2. Pick Axe
Team: Clan of the Makers
Bonus Points: WIP it
Project Name: Octopus Necklace
Project Link:
Brief Description: I've had this octopus charm for several years now. I decided it was time to make a necklace with it, but then realized I have no idea how to design a necklace. This is my lame attempt. It took me forever to just do this. I had to use sharp implements to open and close the o-rings to attach the octopus and the beads. I have a bad habit of holding the o-rings with my lips or teeth. I stabbed my lip while doing that, so I think I'll stop. I may try to do something more with this at a later date if I find some inspiration to motivate me to do so. It's good enough for now though Smiley

Hihihihi nerd gamers!~  Cheesy

I've been a bit busy with life (you know how it is) and have been neglecting Craftster, but I missed this craftalong too much to stay away forever. Wink  I hope it's okay to drop in so close to the end of the game.

Oh, have to say; I am LOVING the whole Choose your own adventure vibe going on this time!! Super nifty! I find myself trying to decide what doll could fit what prompt and letting that be the deciding factor in who is made in what order, haha.

So many amazing projects posted, too. Love this thread - always so much crafty goodness and inspiration. ^__^

So.. 1,2,3...project dump!  Cheesy

[Pintrest fairy, please don't pin any of these, thank you!]

Prompt:  June : Enchanted Spork-in-the-Road
Team: Clan of the Creators
Bonus Points: Brain Power
Project Name: Joel Doll
Project Link: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=452888.0
(all dolls in the one post)

Brief Description: This is Joel, from the video game The Last of Us.
I decided to try my hand at designing dolls, having them printed, and stitching them up. So they're sort of a cross between art/design and dollmaking.
Project Picture:

Prompt:  June : Handspun Meadow.
Team: Clan of the Creators
Bonus Points: -
Project Name: Sarah Doll
Project Link: -
Brief Description: And this is Sarah, also from The Last of Us video game. I had a lot of fun making her printed fabric design - especially her tshirt. I eyeballed the shirt she wore in the game and tried to recreate it from scratch. Rather chuffed at how it turned out.

Prompt:  June : Crossed Roads.
Team: Clan of the Creators
Bonus Points: -
Project Name: Harley Quinn doll
Project Link: -
Brief Description: Harley took a lot more hand-sewing than my usual dolls; having to stitch up those pigtails were just impossible by machine - they kept trapping all the fur fibers in the seams, so I ended up doing a few rounds of hidden stitch before attaching them to her head (again, by hand Wink).
Project Picture:

Prompt:  July : Threadneedle Guild
Team: Clan of the Creators
Bonus Points: -
Project Name: McGarrett Doll
Project Link: -
Brief Description: This fellow is from Hawaii Five-0. And he's 90% machine and 10% hand-sewn. (Loved this prompt ^__^)
Project Picture:

Prompt:  August : Cutout Clearing
Team: Clan of the Creators
Bonus Points: -
Project Name: Danno Doll
Project Link: -
Brief Description: This grumpy dude is Danny "Danno" Williams from Hawaii Five-0. Cutting out the printed fabric pattern pieces is always a bit of tense exercise for me; with so little seam allowance, and knowing if I accidentally slip, I have to re-order fabric and wait another 5-10 days before I can continue with the project.

Prompt:  August - 2 - Krakens Tentacles
Team: Maker
Bonus Points: Swaptastic
Project Name: Necklace Swap #1
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: I made this for the Necklace Swap and it ended up being shaped like a squid! LOL! It was fate.  Wink  I'm posting it early cas my life is kind of crazy and I don't know how much more hectic it's going to get.

Prompt:  August - 3 - Sea Serpents Scales
Team: Maker
Bonus Points: Swaptastic
Project Name: Antler Girl
Project Link: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=452891.0
Brief Description: The first antler girl card I made went missing so I had to remake it and I remade it into this. I like this one better. She looks like Tyra Banks to me. Her eyes have Spica ink on them so they shimmer and for her necklaces I used metallic pens. The second pic is fuzzy and the color is wonky but it shows the shimmer better.
