I know Craftster doesn't support personal swaps and that if you choose to do one that you're on your own and out of luck if your partner flakes, etc., etc.
And I'm totally fine with that.
But can anyone give me help with what to say to ask someone to swap?
There's no rush: I've just gotten an idea for a project and I don't have much time for crafting these days since I have a very active 13 month old that wants to get into EVERYTHING so it'll probably be a while before I'm done. (I'm actually pushing back a surprise for my husband to make this because I actually have all the supplies to make it whereas I'm short for some of the ones I need for his surprise.)
But there's a user (I won't say who in case they read this) who I thought "This person would probably love this. I wonder if they would do a personal swap?"
So I looked at their profile and they do personal swaps and I'd like to approach this person but have no idea what to say.
I'm socially awkward and have anxiety so I'm always at a loss for what to say, even in person with people that I know really well.
Any help is dearly appreciated.

Aw, I love you for asking!  Just message them and ask.  "Hey there!  I noticed you are available for personal swaps on your profile, so I wondered if you'd like to do one with me?"  Easy peasy.

I second this! Especially as this person already posted they're interested and open to personal swaps! The foundation is already there.

Good luck!

Thanks Smiley
I just wanted to make sure that that didn't sound vague and silly.

I lost the thing I was wanting to modify to make the swap item so sadly, no. I'm trying to come up with another great thing for the user, though.

Your foreshadowing is outta control. I equally want to know...and yet love the mystery.

I'm with you on the anxiety though, for me it's because I'm in Ireland, so I rarely all because I don't want to burden someone with extra postage. So I would say, just ask. I rarely do. Heck I've just reminded myself of teenage me standing at the side of school discos desperately hoping someone would ask me to dance

I love personal swaps, for supplies, surprises, flamingo themed things and general silliness

I would love to get my hands on charlie harper fabric.

Well, I can answer y'all but still be vague: I was going to mod a doll. But said doll isn't in my doll stash box. I don't know if I left it at my parents' house when I moved in with hubs, at our old place when hubs and I moved last year, or if it somehow got lost in transit when moving from either place. I hadn't actually looked at my stash dolls in a while so it's a toss up.
