I tried to follow the pattern for this sandwich from the book Amigurumi, super happy crochet cute by Elisabeth Doherty but meh, I ended up skimming & just making it up as I went. Thankfully crochet is pretty forgiving.

Not too shabby, my kids like it anyhow.

Thanks! Smeddley's was better but I wanted to give it a try anyhow. https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=452034.msg5442429#msg5442429

I recently donated all my craft yarn to the school for their afternoon art classes so I had to go back and borrow all the colours I needed, ha ha. I might have another knock at it someday. I really have to work on reading a pattern. I'm making cupcakes right now and I am making those up as I go too. I am just so resistant to figuring out all those abbreviations and proper counting, ugh.

I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.

That's the beauty of crochet- most of the time you can flub your way through and no one is the wiser. Your sandwich looks great!

I am just muddling and flubbing through the desserts I'm making now, that's for sure. A cone shape is so not easy, my goodness. Working with a hook 2 sizes smaller than the yarn calls for is awkward enough but some of these shapes, lol, string math, not my forte.

I LOVE this! <3 I'm tempted to make one for my hubs as a gag and tell him that it's a "diet" hamburger. Grin
I can read and follow patterns but half the time, I say screw it and just wing stuff unless it's something really complex! Lol
