I re-purposed this small box lid  for The Common swap into the notorious Necronomicon from the Army of Darkness. I just used crepe streamers to mold the face using mode podge, cut up and destressed a piece of pleather for the spine and hand painted the rest! Voila! It's just meant to be a wall plaque since my partner collects wall art.
Thoughts?

That's very cool. Clever to use vinyl for the spine, nice touch.

Excellent job; I recognized it as the Evil Dead/Army of Darkness rendition of the Necronomicon just from the thumbnail image on the main page.  You did a really nice job on the surface texture and facial features.  It's a good thing that it doesn't have any actual pages, as only bad things can come from reading that cursed tome!

Love the effect the crepe paper gives the facial features of your Necromonicon.  Well done!

Beautiful! I want to make my own Necronomicon one of these days. I even have a painting in the works inspired by that expression(though I say "in the works" as it sits lonely in the corner, collecting dust). I think those teeth are my favorite part. Well done!

Thanks everyone! It was fun to make, sad to see it go.

I actually debated on adding any teeth originally, it was my last addition to it and GLAD i DID.
