So last night at my guild meeting we had all the former presidents of the guild there! A couple left before we snapped a pic, but we got one with 6 of 8 of us.  I title this picture "Me and Tamara with a bunch of Quilt Famous people."  Grin

From left to right, Tamara, Violet Craft (fabric and pattern designer), me, Susan Beal  (author of many craft books, including World of Geekcraft and Modern Log Cabin Quilting), Christina Cameli (author of First Steps to Free Motion Quilting amongst others), and Jen Carlton-Bailley (singlehandedly made 1/4 circle piecing popular, featured in magazines allll the time).

Pretty sure they've all got Craftsy classes too! And I think at least 2 of them have been on that PBS quilting show Fresh Quilting. Anyway, just wanted to brag on my friends and the talent I'm surrounded by!!

I wish I could find quilters to stitch with. This town seems dry, I know it can't be so but they are all hiding away somewhere I don't know about.

I have only one last project to add to my list this year. A qayg rainbow mugrug using Mistress Jennie's tutorial.

I got so excited about this project that I forgot all about adding any sort of batting and had to stitch on some wool to the bottom felt after wards.

Nice picture!

How's everyone doing in 2018? Q1 is always busy at work, so I haven't been crafting (or on Craftster, for that matter) since forever. I knit a simple scarf this week and then suddenly remembered I love crafting.

Plans for this year:

- BF has requested a quilt to take with him when he's away. I will probably go for a denim top, I expect it will be washed frequently. I'm thinking of making it a quillow so it's easy to carry around.

- I'm working on a faux cathedral window quilt from used denim. I love to use denim, especially used denim.

- I still haven't decided on that wedding quilt ... or the date  Cheesy

I want to finish two similar but different quilts for a pair of twin girls...I also want to finish my own denim quilt...I ran out of denim but now have more...I want to use the quilt for a beach blanket this summer.

I have a quillow on my to do list...I totally forgot!  Those would be great for Christmas this year!  If I made one for each of my great nephews and nieces, I need to make 4...better start now!

Hey all, long time no chat!  (Or craft, for that matter.)  How is everyone?

I got mired in stupid health nonsense and everything got rather on top of me for a bit, but things are a lil better now (yay antidepressants  Roll Eyes ) and recently I've actually made progress on some crafty stuffs.  I'd share a few pix but Craftster seems to be sulking and not letting me.  :s
