It was past time to take down the snowflake door decor since we've not had any real snow on the ground for a few weeks. So I poured through all my wreath pins found something I liked that I even had most of the materials for and decided to make my versions of it. Then I couldn't find the main piece, so I went off on my own path. I'm sure many of you can relate!

There are two doors on the front of the house. The front door and then the balcony door right above it. I like to put something on both if I can, so I made a coordinating, but slightly smaller, wreath for it. There are two bird nesting vessels over the balcony, so these birdies from my stash seemed appropriate. in fact, I used stash for everything but the plastic greenery!

All the decoupage is done with the Mod Podge exterior stuff and both doors are pretty sheltered from precipitation, so hopefully they'll hold up for the couple-three months I intend to display the wreaths. Because the doors have windows, I decoupaged the back of the words and birds with this green gingham.

ADDENDUM: The wreath forms are your standard green coated-wire forms that I spray painted with copper paint.

"Vernal af". You are too funny! Your spring wreaths look great, and I especially like that you have coordinating wreaths for your two doors.

THANKS EVERYONE!

"Vernal af". You are too funny! Your spring wreaths look great, and I especially like that you have coordinating wreaths for your two doors.

Hehe. We're not affirmation-types at our house, so the sassy route seemed the most appropriate. Wink  There is something that tickles me about doing both doors and not doing them exactly the same.

funny! I like the patterns you chose, very spring-y? or should I say, vernal? LOL!

Thanks! It was lucky to have both those papers in my stash! Not only did I get to integrate by beloved plaids, I didn't have to buy them just for this.

They are lovely!

(And I learned a new word: vernal.)

Thanks! I was so tickled when I remembered "vernal" as I was trying to come up with something that would be "us."

Thank you! I suppose this is about as close to posting cuss words on the side of my house as I'm going to get. Wink
