lol phoneix...I am putting my extension in the mail as soon as I finish browsing Craftster! I wait until October 15th, so I am probably the Queen of Procrastination....hey, now that I should put on my card! lol

Wait - I'm the Queen of Procrastination! But I will pass the crown as I did my taxes 2 weeks ago and already received my refunds!
Well, in my defense, I just didn't want to do them. Cheesy No, really it's because I run a small business. And it means I spend like 8 hours pooling over fees, receipts and other expenses, adding them to a complicated Excel spreadsheet to tally things up so I know what deductions to take. It's just a complete PITA.

lol Smmarrt...I think my hubby almost had a heart attack when I told him I had just posted our return! I "forgot" to mention to him that we are getting quite a nice refund (that I will be using to meet up with edelc this summer...) ha ha ...yeah, there was motivation this year...first refund in nearly 20 years!

Oooooh - that's a good idea to use the tax return for that.  Maybe I may use a future one for a Craftster trip too - like to Texas with kbrison (and others I hope!) for the scrapbooking conference.

I am getting a nice return too - but that is already spoken for - it will pay for a good chunk of our new windows, doors, siding.  But I am taking about $500 of it for a new die cutting machine with a larger platform and some new dies... maybe.

As for my CTC, I had a gestalt moment on the subway commute to work last night, with some inspiration from Belladune's card last round.  I may try a beaded self portrait.  It may go terribly wrong... or not even happen in time... but now I must try....

I'm in between ideas of using a inkjet printed picture or using a stack of senior photos I found from 21 years ago!  Cheesy Not sure yet!

LOL, I know for sure *I* would not share a senior picture! I had a uni-brow that no one told me wasn't cool!

I can only dream of using tax returns for fun things like that....dh likes to say responsibly boring things like "we should put it in savings." Athough, this year some of it will pay for my son to begin orthodontic treatment.  DD is ending phase one the end of May, and my son begins soon...oh, guess I should make him an appointment!

Yay for the address list! Very cool to see how broadly we're spread out as a group.

I have a base started for all my cards; I'm tearing up a massive 1980s dictionary and have found words/definitions that have something to do with me or my crafting. Then I painted those and glued them to cardstock to make them sturdier. There are some pictures glued down and some connections and juxtapositions that have surprised me. Using old photos of myself is turning out to be a therapeutic exercise!

Hahaha, BBM, I am considering using a school portrait of me from age 12 when my unibrow was in full force!

I've been wanting to make a felt self-portrait for my picture, but we'll see if that actually works out. ;P

Nobody go telling Frida her look is so frowned upon (ha ha, see what I did there?).

Roler, photos of a felted you in your style would be AWESOME!
Same same Onyx, too cool.

I'm so looking forward to seeing everybody's amazing creations, these simple little cards were such a thrill last time. I'm so happy it's happening again!
