I seem to keep accumulating button/pins for some reason, but never wear them. I decided to display them in my craft room, and finally figured out and easy way to do so -- with a hoopla!

I painted the hoop white, then grabbed some  lime green fabric that I have had forever and used that for the background. Then I hot glued a bright blue beaded trim around the edges for an accent.

After that, I attached the buttons and still have some room to grow! An easy-peasy project that uses up some stuff I had kicking around and helps me organize. I'm enjoying it.

Here it is with its crafty friends. Thanks for looking!

That's a clever idea.  It looks good.

It is clever. I will see about making these with and for the kids, they all have button collections. Mostly they are stuck in their bulletin boards but this is so much nicer. What a great way to display them all.

Nice idea!
This would be good for displaying all kinds of stuff:  vintage rhinestone brooches, or those little enamel travel pins (I think we have like 22 states somewhere), or even sewing buttons.  Thanks for sharing!

I love this!  I had a cork board, made out of wine corks, that I used to display all my pins in, but it fell apart.  (Mom made it, but the hot glue she used didn't hold up.)  I'm totally going to have to make something similar to yours for my studio.  Thanks for the inspiration!

P.S.  Love the pom pom fringe!

Thank you for the kind words! The best part of this project if you are thinking of making your own is that it took maybe 20 minutes to put it all together.

Steiconi, those are great ideas! I need to figure out what other goodies I can organize via hoopla. Cheesy

A layer of netting over top of solid fabric would make it a good earring holder Smiley.
