Artists: craftylittlemonkey, pottermouth, MissingWillow

The Gallery is HERE!

This is a fun and friendly swap, with your level of participation determined entirely by you, with a minimum of one card for the month. People of all levels of card making are welcome. Sign ups are open all month. Please make sure you are not late or flakey in any of your other swaps, and that you have good communication.

Artist trading cards can be made by anyone, from any material, with any method. The official card is the size of a rectangular baseball card, 2.5 by 3.5 inches done in a cardstock weight paper. This swap tends to openly interpret what that means. We have seen cards made from nature, sewn, woven, and knitted, pop ups, movables, mini books, stained glass, clay, and even a 4-d dollhouse room. Preferences can be mentioned when you make a claim.

CLAIMING
Claims are made throughout the month.  You have two weeks from the time you make a claim to send that claim. Look at the date on the calendar, it is the date that is directly 2 rows down.

You can make one claim or as many claims as you want throughout the month as long as you never go over your allowed amount of outstanding claims. An outstanding claim is a card that has not been received; when that card is received your number of outstanding claims goes down. Remember that you must make one claim!

Claims are made using the following procedure:

Person A (the swap organizer) will begin the swap by posting a list of themes in this swap thread.
Person B will choose a theme from one of A's themes and make a claim by posting his/her own list.
Person C will make a claim on one of B's themes and post his/her own list.
Person D will make a claim on one of C's themes and post his/her own list etc...
This continues through the end of the month, when the swap organizer makes the final claim and closes out the claiming part of the swap.

The number of claims each person is allowed depends on the following criteria:

*Friends of Craftster: 10 claims
*Those who aren't Friends of Craftster: 7 claims
*New swappers (whether Friends of Craftster or not): 1 claim.  Once the initial claim has been recieved, and its new owner has reported it received, the new swapper is free to make more claims, either 7 or 10 dependent on being an FOC or not.

STEP 3:
How to make a claim:
After being approved, make a claim like this! You are only claiming the person who was the last to post, for one card. You are allowed to send whatever extras you desire.

SAMPLE CLAIMS POST
Quote
I claim FabSwapper for heffalumps.

3 claims, 2 sent, 1 received

I live in Massachusetts, USA.  I would prefer not to receive anything violent, political, religious, or with clowns.

My themes are:
1)   Bunnies in hats
2)   Bunnies with wings
3)   Twin bunnies
4)   Fluffy bunnies
5)   Gardens of carrots

STEP 4:
Send a personal message to the person you have claimed and request their address.

STEP 5:
Make the card and mail it. PM the organizer and partner when you send or receive a card. (This was in the original rules. I don't actually need the sent cards message if you find it hard to remember. It helps if cards get lost in the mail.)

Be sure and include (1) the "send by" date, as well as (2) the theme and (3)who sent it to (4)whom, in each message to the swap organizer, when you're referring to sent or received cards.

SAMPLE SENT OR RECIEVED PM
Quote
Subject: April Ongoing ATC Swap--SENT

I mailed some ATCs today!

DUE March 16:
MeCraftsterMemberBloop --> Yowzaparadeper (fantasmic theme)

DUE March 17:
MeCraftsterMemberBloop --> Wowwieparadesper (stupendous theme)
MeCraftsterMemberBloop -->WooHooYeeHawparadeper 07 (yet another fascinating theme)

STEP 6:
POSTING PIX OF ATCs RECEIVED
The most important step!
Posting pictures of received ATCs is required for this swap. Please post pictures within 3 days or notify your partner that you cannot so they can share their work.

We like to keep things friendly and encouraging. Thank you's and helpful comments about the artwork can be posted in the gallery!

The Gallery is HERE!

Feedback
Positive feedback will be given when all of the cards you claimed have been received and you have posted pictures of the cards you received. If you are stuck without a space for a swap and are biting your nails waiting, just let me know and I will release you asap.

ANY QUESTIONS?
If you have any questions please post them in the Discussion Thread or PM the organizer, rockingbearranch.  This thread is specifically for claims only.

I claim emilywilde for artist's choice
(although I will probably choose a theme from your list, I'm just undecided yet as to what I would like to do)

1/0/0

I live in Florida and my fav color is mint aqua.  I'm pretty open but I prefer not to receive: political, explicit nudity/pinups or blood/gore.   Christian religious themes are fine.  Artistic nudity is fine. My favorite styles of art are paintings & drawings, but do feel free to do other styles.  Thank you for claiming me!    Smiley

Special mediums I think it would be fun to have a card covered in glitter or an all sequin card etc.   Maybe combine with a theme from below or do something random or abstract in glitter etc.  Smiley

Glitter
Sequins
Embroidered
Beaded
gold or silver leafing

My themes are:

Birds -  I really like songbirds, chickens (girls) and crow & ravens
art journal page (inspiration from google: https://goo.gl/s5fUsO )
label from a fictional wine/beer/coffee/tea company
hand drawn maps or building layouts (fictional, treasure, your fav store, your apartment etc)
Stained Glass
Christmas
Christmas lights / fairy lights (decorating something, not just the lights please)
Winter
Coffee
plein air
watercolor figure paintings/studies
Eggs (still in the shell) -- birds, dragons etc.
botanical illustration
whimsical
surreal
advent calendar (doesnt need to be the entire calendar, maybe one day with a window that opens to reveal something)
rain
Rainy city streets (without cars though), love the wet pavement, buildings, lights reflecting off wet streets etc. (some favorites on my pinterest art board or heres some from google images:  https://goo.gl/TqLNjk )

I claim smileyyogini for "unicorns".

1 Claim | 0 Sent | 0 Received

I live in Michigan's frigid Upper Peninsula, so far North, I might as well be an honorary Canadian.  Spring is trying to start here, but, there's still snow on the ground in many places and all of the vegetation is still bare/dormant.

I love video games, toys (both "boys" and "girls" varieties), mythology (all cultures/religions), monsters, the Sword & Sorcery (particularly Dungeons & Dragons) and Horror genres, books (adult's & children's), animals (especially kitties), nature, and women.  Nudity, violence, sex, gore, profanity, religion, politics, etc., don't bother me in the context of art, so, please don't worry that you're going to offend me when you express yourself.   Over/under-sized or thick/3-Dimensional ATCs are fine, as I don't own, or keep them in, a card album so they don't need to fit into anything.  I don't have any allergies that would come into play with an ATC, so, use whatever materials you like.  Provided that you adhere to the spirit/intent of whichever of my themes that you choose, it doesn't matter to me what artistic style/approach/media you utilize.

I have a Pinterest account, but I never use it except to look at other people's stuff (I'm a voyeur like that).  However, if you want a pictorial look at the types of things that I like, this photo gallery of all the junk that I've purchased from thrift stores this year speaks volumes:
http://www.angelfire.com/ult/ace/assortments_2017.html

My themes (in no particular order of preference).  Feel free to combine multiple themes into one card too, if you wish.

- 2NE1 [South Korean pop group (CL, Minzy, Bom & Sandara) that broke up last year; the lead singer/rapper CL (Chae-rin Lee) is my favorite, but all four ladies are awesome.]
- Temari of the Sand (Naruto anime/manga character--a female ninja that fights with a REALLY big fan.)
- Betty & Veronica (comic book versions please, not the live action Riverdale actresses.)
- DJ Spinderella (Deidra Muriel Roper, the oft-forgotten third component of Salt-n-Pepa).
- Disney Fairies (Vidia, Rosetta, & Fawn are my favorites).
- Janice (lead guitarist in the Muppets' Electric Mayhem band)
- Bella Sara horses (they're already cards to begin with!)
- A particularly memorable dream/nightmare that you've had (recently, or years ago, it doesn't matter).
- Donkey (Eddie Murphy's character from Shrek).
- The Loch Ness Monster needs about $3.50 ("tree fiddy"); it was a running joke with Chef's dad on an episode of South Park.
- Megami Tensei ("Reincarnation of the Goddess") monsters.
- My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (G4) Rainbow Dash (pegasus or humanoid Equestria Girls forms are both okay).
- An ATC that's also some kind of art project for me to do.
- A paper doll (preferably a girl/woman or an animal, but it's up to you).
- A functional ATC board game (feel free to invent your own game if you don't want to replicate an existing one).
- Toys in humorous/inappropriate situations (Robot Chicken type stuff).
- Artist's choice--surprise me!

I claim emilywilde for "artist's choice" (I will do one of your listed themes; picking artist's choice just gives me more time to make up my indecisive mind--I'm leaning towards Kirby ATM, 'cuz I also like his games, but only time will tell).
