Finished up a major part of the large today. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out!

I decided on one item which should be good to take with me on a work trip I'm taking in a week to Chicago for four days. But first, I need to buy some air-travel-safe scissors though because I feel like people are getting too nervous for me to comfortably take my tiny, but very pointy/sharp embroidery scissors. I'm pretty sure I know what I'm making for item number two also, but need to dwell on it some more while I've wrapping up another swap and the first Woodland item.

I've seen these weird little blade rings that you just slide the thread in the slit and it cuts it. Thought it was kinda weird at the time but maybe perfect for flying

Ok I have finally figured out what I am going to make for both of my partners. Everything is different!! My large for one of them is something I have never made before (I've made things similar but not to this particular purpose) but I will have time this week to give it a few tries to make absolute sure that it will be up to snuff.  Wink
I'm really excited for this new type of project!!
I went out and got supplies for each thing and should be able to get started in the next day or two - I want to finish up my TM Patch swap first and then jump into this headlong.  Grin

I'm finished with the large and love how it turned out!! Making good progress on the medium as well! I have an extra item that I just had to make that turned out pretty cool too! Excited with how everything is lining up!

Progress made on my large. Hoping to have it complete by tomorrow. This project is not at all the way I pictured it, it seems to kind of have a mind of its own. But I'm liking the way it's turning out!

bunny - That's how most of my projects progress; they definitely evolve as they go along. But I think that makes it more interesting!

I truly love projects that evolve like that.  It's the only time that I feel like a true artist.  Love that feeling.

Aaannnnd... the large is complete! Woot!  Supplies are in hand for project #2 -- looking forward to tackling it! I have never done one of these before, so it will be a learning experience for me, to be sure!

I hope to start in the next day or two.  First I need to clean up my space and search for supplies....
