I have started learning how to oil paint since this January. You can see my first paintings - flowers.

Very nice and somewhat different than your usual style, my favourite is the third painting which has such a glowing beautiful background!  How do you like painting with oils?  The first few times I took an oil painting class I had such a hard time remembering that oil painting takes sooo long to dry (like a week) and got paint on my coat, my bag, my hair....

alteredmommy, thank you so much! I like oil paintimg so much! I haven't found my style in oil yet. It will happen, I hope. I have only one diffficulty - our flat is small and I don't have any place for my pictures... They are on the wall where they dry.

love the red poppies! it's always good to challenge yourself with a new medium. when my grandmother started painting, she would hang them in her guest room, then when it was full and family was visiting she would let them draw numbers and pick on to take home. our kids each have one of grandma's paintings in their rooms.
