I made this yoga mat cover with no pattern, just eyeballed it. I used a bright green cotton, possibly from Eurokangas. I added a patch with an embroidery from Urban Threads on the side. http://www.urbanthreads.com/products.aspx?productid=UT5269

Video tutorial: https://youtu.be/r0-elUJrfy0

I cut one large rectangle, in wich the yoga mat will fit. If you want to, you can just cut one large rectangle and a small rectangle, make the strap and attatch it. Then just sew two of the edges of the larger rectangle and put the draw string opening on the other end and you're done. I wanted to do a circular (came out oval) shape to the bottom.

Below are pictures of the parts you need for this project. Further instructions are in the video. Happy sewing and have fun at the gym, friends! Smiley

That looks great! You chose really lovely fabric and the patch is an excellent addition.
Funny: I have 3 partially stitched yoga mat bags waiting for my attention AND we have the same carpet in our living room. If I ever get round to finishing those things up I'll have to do a photo shoot in there, lol Wink.
