I've been working on this for quite some time and finally finished it! I gave up a few times, but kept on and am so happy that I did. It's an accordion book, so you can view multiple pages at once, or just flip through them one at a time. The pages are 5.5" x 6" and are fully hand painted from the backgrounds to the monsters with all types of inks and markers and paints. I hope to do a whole series, but the next one will definitely be smaller. Anyone have any fun arrest reasons for future monsters?

Amazing job; your monster mugshots are adorable and their M.O.s cute/funny.  If you haven't already done so, you should consider a career as a children's book author/illustrator (although you'd obviously have to tone down some of the joke examples you have here for that younger market, particularly the alcohol and drug references).  If you want some arrests inspiration, I'd recommend checking out one of those "stupid criminals" tv shows, books, or web sites as there are plenty of human "monsters" that have done incredibly foolish things in the name of crime that you could base your creatures upon.

I second the children's book suggestion. this is so clever and funny and your monsters are adorable.

monster crimes? something about being caught under the bed or hiding in the closet maybe??

I think these could go the other way, and stay surprising. Small press, and market towards adults. Sold online, in edgy locations such as Hot Topic, or destination locations like World of Mirth (an upscale Spencer's gifts/toys). Or just sold on your own site.

Your voice is so unique and characters so stylized - there's a lot of cross-market potential, plushes, hoodies, fabric, etc. Really talented!

I have a set of 80s Halloween cardstock decorations - skeleton,  witch, and ghost - with minor imperfections. PM me if you would like them!

Thank you for all the kind words!
I'm with JoyfulClover. I don't think children would ever be my intended audience. I like the subversion of the monsters in jail for adult crimes. I didn't want to take it too far because I still wanted them to be humorous, but wanted them to not be a little more than G rated.

Lol, I guess I shouldn't confess to having shared with my children? Maybe mine have a more mature (twisted like mama's) sense of humour *snort* Cheesy.
They are adorable & hilarious. Adorius? Hilarable? Whatever, they made me squee & laugh!
