UTM, first of all: that is an amazing presentation!

And I love to see how busy the kids were with so many different activities, that will all make a great difference to their community!

Hooray for the Difference Makers!

Will there be an auction again next year?

Thanks!!!

Hi Bea!  I don't know if I told you, but the other officers asked Lana to plan this event since they were busy planning for their convention.  I was really proud of Lana and all the kids.  They are great!

Hi Kathy: Most definitely!! The auction is their best fundraiser as well as being a community building event.  Smiley    I am also going to plan another craft fair...maybe a holiday themed one??

Thanks you guys for crafting your buns off for us!  Smiley

This coming weekend is our convention.  The kids have been working really hard on planning all the events.  I can't wait to see what they've come up with.  They'll be doing a few more service activities at the convention too.

Ditto! Nice going, Lana!

Will start on some more crafts for DM as soon as I finish the Geezer projects for Annchen, the HP quilt block for CLM, and the 75 bookmarks for the children's hospital (just need to satin stitch the edges). And come up with some craft projects for an unspecified number of people to make during OHCE Week (Home Extension). Then there are all those pesky WIPs to deal with (child-size crocheted afghan, crib sheets for darling g-daughter, doll clothes for 7 great-great-nieces, and a few dozen quilts, to name a few). I'm definitely an ADD crafter - great at starting things, but easily distracted by new projects.  Grin

Thanks all!  I helped get the educational and food vendors for Lana, but she was the one that contacted all the non-profits and planned all the community service activities.  There was another officer that was supposed to work with her on GYSD, but that girl decided that she wanted to plan a fundraiser with her friends for Ethiopia so everything fell on Lana.  It was stressful for her.  She cried a couple of times out of frustration, but overall I think it was a good learning experience for her.

Gah, you are a crafting machine Kathy.  I haven't done anything crafty in a long time which is bad since I have a craft fair coming up.  LOL.  It is my first time trying Arbutus Art Fest http://arbutusartsfestival.com/   They are letting Lana run her button machine to fundraise for DM!  Smiley

Loved the video...it really warms my heart to see the diversity and togetherness in this group...so many projects, so many community organizations...so many great kids and volunteers...

I was tickled to see a shot of the button machine in one of the clips!  I swear, it was meant to be!  You guys made my day!  Lana is one of the best things that ever happened to this Craftster family!
