Thanks for the great tutorial Bunny!  I need to conquer my fear of zippers.  This may be the perfect way to start! Smiley

Still enjoying all the inspirational projects.  Thank you guys!!!  I haven't been doing much crafting lately and this keeps me going.  I'm busy repairing some jewelry for a friend atm.

I did manage to make this for Difference Makers upcoming participation in DCCX (a cyclocross event in DC) that my friend Mark organizes.  We'll be making waffles, vending drinks, and handing the trash/recycling.  I'll be selling these to raise money for DM.  The crafting part was a snap, but cleaning tons of bike chain wasn't.  LOL.

Thanks Bunny!  It's been done before, but the chain is special because it is from my friend Marc who won several of the DCCX races.  Smiley  He's also the co-organizer of the event.  LOL.

Ah, the cleaning-bike-chain part makes more sense now. I was thinking, "why not just get NEW bike chain and save yourself the headache?" LOL!

Well, I'm also into the reuse/recycle thing too.  Smiley  I didn't know it, but bike chains need to be replaced because they stretch with use.  Smiley

Yes, reusing stuff is really good, and when you are DIYing, it makes more things become craft supplies!!  Grin  I didn't know that about bike chain, either- learned something new today!

I made some more zipper bags for the shelter. These are all from donated materials. Yayyy!!

Loving the pouch project and how it's growing - craftsters really are the best  Cheesy

UTM - awesome bike chain project! Many years ago I promised my uncle, who is a giant bike enthusiast (i.e. so serious he makes his own bikes, no joke!), some sort of sculpture that is "bike" inspired....I still haven't made it haha. But always in the back of my mind, I'm drawn to the chain. Though I have no idea where I'd acquire said chain....I suppose I could probably order some, huh... Roll Eyes Anyway, cool project!

I have a few things to share when I get around to it. Maybe my crafty mojo is coming back after all... Smiley
